Well, it would seem that the next generation (at least the first couple years) won't be a major step up in graphical fidelity from the best of the current gen stuff. I'm ok with that given a lot of the other improvements but I do wonder if it'll be enough to sell these consoles this holiday. Horizozn II looks absolutely amazing but I feel like that studio can push it close on PS4 as well.

Quite underwhelmed by PS5 reveal, only 3 games of interest for me, no DoAX4, but console design is okay at least.

I don't know. the returning IPs look to be the only ones standing out. 
Neither of which were using ray-tracing.  and GT7 i thought could have very well been a PS4 pro game for some odd reason.

Yeah, some games weren't that gorgeous, though looking at the 4K trailers - still YouTube quality, so not as great as 4K from Gamersyde - and the 4K images, which really show how these games look. Holy fucking shit!!!!!

Horizon 2: Forbidden West - Looks beyond gorgeous. That shot of Alloy underwater......... That's true next-gen!

Spider-Man: Miles Morales - Looks incredible, look at the details in his face and suit. The textures are amazing.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart - Simply looks like a Pixar CG movie. Period. Looking at those images gives an incredible high budget Pixar movie. Ratchet & Clank (2016) already looked insane, this just takes it to a whole other level.

Demon's Souls - The first and fourth images show such an incredible beautiful game that I almost wished they were making a Demon's Souls 2.

So at least these 4 games look next-gen, Demon's Souls being the least good looking, even though it's from Blue Point, but which makes you think how great next-gen games will look. And these are 1st/2nd year titles, wait till we're 4-6 years into the PS5 and XBSX cycles and those games will look even more incredible.

By then Unreal Engine 5 - which launches next year - will also be widely utilized and developers will have gained a lot of experience developing for these consoles, so no reason to doub next-gen games, they will look incredible. Another thing is that with the almost instant load times, haptic feedback and 3D audio (PS5), these games will also offer a better experience than before.

Athens asked if it will be enough to sell these consoles this holiday, I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm looking into buying a PlayStation 5 at launch, as long as the price is not obscenely outrageous. The dollar is between 5-6 bucks here, plus with all the taxes and shit, some consoles are at an all-time high price.

For example: PS4 Base = 2.400-3.000, PS4 Pro = 3.400-4.000, Nintendo Switch = 3.800-4.200, etc. And since the PS5 will be new, there will be that "new product tax" consumers hate. Still, I have saved a lot of money and if it's around 3.000-4.000, I might jump in. Otherwise I will wait for Black Friday 2021, just depends on the pricing. I'm almost praying for Sony to take a loss and sell it at U$ 399, but the fact there's 2 SKUs and the rumors from people who have sources at Sony makes me think it will be around U$ 499-599. #fml!!!
