GSY Tech PC PS4 Xbox One

Microsoft and the others publishers don't seem to be too eager to give us regular updates on the availability of Xbox One X patches, so we don't really know if Project CARS 2 benefits from one or not. Even if it doesn't, it's still interesting to see how the game runs on Microsoft's new hardware, especially on a track like Monaco in a thunder storm (and a bit of sun in the second part). AI opponents were limited to 19 for the purpose of this video, but it's more than enough on such a circuit.

Thanks for the analysis video.

Seems to hold up well. Only issues was a framerate drop at the start, a few 59 framerate drops every set of seconds, but barely noticeable and 2 54 framerate drops around a corner. Outside of that, it was 60fps most of the time. With a little bit of optimization I'm sure the game can reach rock-solid 60fps under these circumstances.

PCars 2 on the PS4 Pro looks awful be it the amount of jaggies, lack of detail or those insane LOD pops...eager to see this vid when home.

Massive difference compared to the PS4 Pro version. No crazy LOD pops every 2 seconds for a start and detailed cars in front.

Well considering the big graphical downgrade this game has gone through compared to PC 1 with Rain, reflections & lighting having all been cut back, I'm not surprised this runs quite well on the One X.

Mirror & trackside physics still only updating at 20-30fps as well...

This is why X is for everyone, not only for 4K content only.

Personally I would say 1080P is enough they just need to improve gfx and obviously game running smoothly. Wasting resources on more pixel is useless IMO. People complained that this gen the gfx evolution was not great. I am not sure next gen is going to be any better if 4K is going to be the standard

4K is still a big ask for consoles. Especially at 60fps. The GPU is a nice jump over the original but still about half that of a top end 1080Ti. and the CPU is still as weak as a kitten, and is still going to be a major stumbling block. I'm hoping they do a good implementation of 1440p So I can use it on my P.C. monitor.

I am sure then you will love 8K as well then lol. It will be out before next gen console. Personally for me some clever resolution upgrade like checkerboard or something is not bad. I would like to see improvement in gfx. This gen was not too bad but I am not sure next gen is going to be any better If 4K and 60fps are 2 important criteria

I agree somewhat

I only play games in 1080p on my pc and they look fantastic because of more details and better textures

DC weather is one of the best thing this gen. Honestly I would like to those affects in racing sim than play this game at 4K or even 8K. More pixels cannot make realistic weather affects

nostradamus massive downgrades coming from the staples achieved w/ the Halo 3 sandbox/physics, with Dice/BField it should never be a trade-off, ony thing they should be trading its engine if it isnt up 3 the job (3 Hours ago)

nostradamus so Halo must be thet bottomb of the barrel FPS to keep its identity. Add some negligible subsurface scattering reflections or some other tech only possible now and call it the day copy/pasting the ol (3 Hours ago)

nostradamus Halo Infinite sure is one ugly damn game. Pretty obvious nothing is going to massible change if the Ip doesn't die and start from the ground up with another publisher/dev that doesn't retread the ol (1 Day ago)
