Tecmo announced a few months ago the release of a Rygar game for the Wii, and of course we anticipated a new game in the series. Seeing these scans it looks like it's just (another I would say) port of a PS2 game on the Wii. A shame, really.

The trailer that got released said "A New Hero" and "New enemies", something like that, so how can it be a PS2 port if it has new MAIN character and new enemies and new story and all.
Its not a port, it was just rumors.
I for one cant wait to see gameplay footages, hopefully they show it on during E3!
Nah, it's a brand new game. It's a sequel to the Rygar game released on the PS2 years ago. That was a bit under the radar but it was a really good game.
I think all Blim meant though is that it LOOKS like a port, not that it IS a port.
I think I've got a Rygar demo disc somewhere... guess I'll dig it up for a little compare an' contrast. Certainly looks similar based on my recollections.
