The 2015 PlayStation Experience is being held in San Francisco this weekend and it will begin with a keynote which starts at 10 AM PST / 6 PM GMT. You can watch it live here. Update: conference is over.
Lots of announcements. Lots to buy. Loads of VR which is the best thing about 2016. FF7 looks sick and isn't fucking turn based! (Thank god) and ni no kuni 2 *squee* no Santa Monica game or bend studio game though. Guess that'll be E3 next year.

And dat uncharted cutscene. Looked immense.
The low of SFV announcements was the worst part of the show. It was over long due to translations. And it wasn't that exciting.

ff7 will be garbage ff13 remake, no turned base, no materia, looks like loads corridor bullshit, i bet it don't even have world map, it just be story based crapfest, i would put money on it that it has less content than ff7 original..
the remake is really pissing me off with the amount changes its making, would been better just have remaster, we don't need every fucking rpg to be real time

You mean like FF15? Oh wait, thats looking to be nothing like FF13...hell the FF13 sequels weren't like FF13. So please, Stop talking shit.
There's zero reason for the FF7 remake (looks incredible btw) not to have the same content as the original game. In fact, it might even have more. It's almost 19 years since that released. We've got incredible game engines now (looks like it's using UE4) that you can brush stroke the entire world map of FF7 in minutes, literally. Obviously designing it is what eats up the most time, and I'm obviously talking about the scope, but the tools are there to build the entire world of FF7 without a problem, so I don't see why anyone would think it's going to be a linear watered down version.
I didn't even know this conference was on. Is there anywhere I can view the content from it? I'm more interested in the VR stuff shown.
So much VR push, I'm eagerly awaiting how much £££ PS VR is going to cost.
I worry if like MOVE / 3D / Eyetoy etc, this doesn't take off, Sony will just ignore it so I probably would not invest if it's over ~£150.
Conference was kind of a downer because of it. VR demos are not very exciting to watch and some bits were too long. Personally for me I was pumped to hear Y5 is this Tuesday and Yakuza 0 is coming to the west. I was thinking we wouldn't know Y0's faith in the west until Yakuza 5 sale analysis were done, was SO happy that was not the case.
