with her cartoonish design, she looks like a character straight out of Fortnite
I still play and enjoy the game but long gone are the days when Rainbow Six was all about tactical realism, and realistic military designs that aimed to approximate those of their real-life counterparts.

UBI have ruined Rainbow and Ghost Recon titles. Shame on them!

Is Siege a popular multipleplayer game? Yes it is but I remember a time when popularity was not the only barometer of a game's success. Developers used to create games first and foremost because of their own passion for the game and their dedicated fans and not their publishers' sales expectations and hidden agendas.

We will never have another S.W.A.T or R6:Vegas or even a title that that remotely resembles the two in terms of their being true to the essense of what made them so special.

I didn't say anything about its popularity. It blows stuff like Vegas out of the water.

Nostalgia is a helluva drug.

you said that Siege is the best game in the franchise and that is simply not true. R6 was not known just for its good multiplayer but also for its attention to tactical realism and the many stories that Tom Clancy's R6 series had to offer. Siege is not an R6 game and that is the sad truth about it but it is a great multiplayer title nonetheless.

Rainbow Six Vegas Metacritic 86 on PS3 https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/tom-...
Rainbow Six Siege Metacritic 73 on PS4 https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/tom-...

The PC version of Siege scored the highest at 79 and the 360 version of Vegas scored highest at 88. The sequel wasn't as good but guess what, Vegas 2 still scored higher than the meh Siege.

Misinformation and being wrong is a helluva drug.

"Ready or Not" looks like it could very much fill that space.

Professional critics aren't exactly known for evaluating PVP games, and Siege as it exists going into year four isn't the game they reviewed. This is akin to using CS:GO's metacritic score to prove that Vegas is better. And come on now, that's a barrel of laughs. Vegas/Vegas 2 are average games at best. But I can't take any FPS game with a terrible third person cover mechanic seriously.

And in this case... the continued success of Siege is absolutely a reflection of its quality. I understand that it's not for everyone, especially if you want a single player game, but it's a fantastic PVP game.

Using Vegas as an example of a R6 game is so wrong, yes it was a good game, but it was the beginning of an end for the franchise.
Previous games were super realistic and hard and focused on Single player.

R6 Siege is just another MP shooter that has absolutely nothing to do with the original games.
