GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One Switch

We keep digging in the impressive list of demos which have appeared on Steam since the beginning of the Steam Festival. Now is the turn of Raji: An Ancient Epic, whose gameplay is clearly inspired by Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, the 2003 hit by Ubisoft.

I've played this demo during the Steam March Festival, it's really cool with very unique and fresh lore that we almost never see in games, unfortunately. The combat starts simple, but gets more complex as you go through the demo.

The platforming has a lot of cool ideas, but the execution of some of them is really bad, there were parts were I kept trying over and over, sometimes falling to my death, because hitting the right combination didn't register or registered too late and there was nothing one could do about it other than keep trying.

Still, I kept going because the lore and aesthetic are very interesting and the combat started to get fun. If they fix the platforming and polish it to remove most of the jankyness, this will be a great game that offers something players aren't accustomed to. I highly recommend people try the demo and check it out for themselves.

nice to see a game embrace indian culture, barely see that in video games, looks good to boot.
