Whattafack happened to my post?

Anyway, as i though i said but obviously didn't, it looks great. Really, but i feel a bit "meh" after playing Tools of Destruction. I mean it was a good game, no doubt about it, just not that fantastic. A decent platformer. For me though, that places it fairly low on the priority list. Any fan of the genre should be pretty pumped though, i guess.

i certainly am, TOD was a lot more fun then mario galaxy imo. for me this is the only decent platformer left out there now...untill a new jak game is announced by ND...there really isnt enough love for this genre anymore.

True, there is no platformer as good as R&C this gen, and this new one has also customized weapons, awesome!

I don't understand why 360 fanboys are rating low such a beautiful game? jealousy at its best.

Really makes you appreciate a varied color scheme. I miss color in games.

The game does look awsome, ( I adored the 1st and 2nd ratchet onthe ps2, the rest were soso) and basing on my past experiences I grabbed ToD. It was fun etc,but it seemed to off stripped all challenge (it was too easy than what I remembered) and it just didn't feel as awsome as ratchet was, so I hope this will reclaim the fun feeling I used to get from playing this very good platforming series. Still though, some impressive and some not so impressive shots but defo a looker.

Looks good... also looks like it took elements from PREY and Mario Galaxy, which isn't a bad thing.

I can't get over how good this game looks. Like, this is the engine upgrade this series needed to basically hit that pixar look PERFECTLY.

Looks like they cleaned up the textures from ToD. The game was good but am I the only one worried that they are running out of ideas? The games for the PS2 were great but I don't really see any evolution from those games.

As for those saying RnC games are the only good platformers left or way better than Mario Galaxy, you guys are doing a really bad job of hiding how much of a Sony fanboy you are as such statements are quite silly.

Mario Galaxy was fucking brilliant in it's design. Hands down the best platformer this gen so far, with the only game coming close being Little Big Planet, another game also far better than R'n C 's predictable gameplay.

RnC is a good series, but the games are short and predictable (but really funny). Fanboy hype aside, i'm sure the game will be good and have plenty of realy funny moments with some nice addictive weapons.

Actually, the Ratchet games of last gen used spherical worlds to great effect long before Mario Galaxy although because it is more of a "pure" platformer, Mario used them in much more inventive ways. I still, prefer the Ratchet series just a little simply because you can make things explode but the platforming elements are never as strong as the one's in Mario, it is really a shooter/ platform hybrid that does the shooting aspects extremely well with the platforming as a fun diversion.

Still, I am totally hyped for this as TOD was a good game but far from the best in the overall series and I think Insomniac have really pulled out the stops to make this a fitting trilogy finale.

Although it may also get me bouleted, I pretty much agree with Nietzche on this one, to say R&C is a better platformer the Mario Galaxy is more than a little fanboyish and is probably a statement made mainly by people who never touched nintendo's masterpiece (sigh why can't they make more games that good, the bastards).

i DO own mario galaxy, it's one of the FEW games on the wii even worth touching, but the fact i havnt even completed the games says it all really, i just dont like it as much as the ratchet series. i just think R&C is the superiour series of games by quite a large margin. but then that's just my opinion and i arnt forcing it on anyone, unlike you who seems to think anyone who dissliked galaxy is a fanboy....maybe YOU'RE the fanboy? ever thought of that?

Tools Of Destruction was "meh" for me (early PS3 game so it was expected I guess) but Quest For Booty (available on PSN for a mere £10!) is a SUPERB RnC game and made me look forward to this even more :D
