Normally, I'd agree with $10 for 3 maps being too much... but I play SO MUCH Halo it's sick. And I'm not alone. I'll very gladly pay $3.33 for each map- knowing that I'll be playing this game for years to come. That's not a hollow statement, I played Halo 3 for years, same with Halo 2 and 1 way back when. And after seeing how beautiful these maps are, it's not even a matter that I have to think about. The Noble Map Pack is a great addition that I can't wait until it's open to everybody just so I can play those maps more often- but these look even better. I wish they'd left the one map dark! And I really like that waterfall going OVER the hallway. I guess they know what's best after playing it a lot, but those maps looked awesome in the preview build, dammit!

whoa there spartan, this isn't 2005-2007 when you paid to play maps earlier and it was all peachy in the multiplayer kingdoms. People who are cheap bastards at best just need to save points for a deal of the week promotion, because if i can remember, I had all mp maps of Halo3 beacuse it was offered in the Halo: ODST package, not beacuse it became open to anyone.
And I agree with you there about the Win levels in these maps, but money is money and less maps to choose from is less content in the eyes of a player.
@ JohnC: I admit, I must have gotten a little lost in your flow there. From what I'm able to comprehend... you're saying $10 is too much because it's only 3 maps and it's not 2005-2007 any longer. I've been a Halo gamer for a LONG, long, LONG time and it's always been $10 for 3 maps. I think at ONE time back in Halo 2 they did $10 for 4 maps, but one was a remake. And as far as all the maps coming free with ODST- that was just a SWEET ASS deal. If you remember, Bungie used to give away ALL their maps after about 6 months. I think the ODST was just their way of doing that again (they did do that with the "3" maps too... but for those that weren't online).
So as far as 3 for $10- that's typical fair with Bungie.
I bought the last map pack for $10 and thoroughly enjoyed it but no way I'm buying this one. For the huge amount of players like me that only play the competitive multiplayer $10 for 2 maps is rediculous. If they were smart they would've released two seperate packs- one with 2 competitive maps and one with 2 firefight maps. Sell each of those at $5.
