The song in the trailer...the name of the re-mars-ster. Ugh. So bad.

Its an ok game though. Better then the pile of shit that followed it.

"PC performance

But it already supports 4k without a hitch.
In other words nothing. Well, at least it costs as much - nothing.

Technically, that'is supposed to mean assets improved upon in such a way that 4k matters more, e.g., higher resolution textures and higher resolution of post-process fx.

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Right. I think programmable shaders were adopted fairly early on consoles (xbox360/ps3) (5 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Well, only recently they have been. I think this is the first gen I've seen where PC's are playing catch up. Not through hardware power, but through development cycles (5 Days ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (5 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (6 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (6 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (6 Days ago)
