French developer DontNod got noticed last month during Gamescom 2012 and Capcom's conference when they first demoed Remember Me. Here is the 60 fps video of this gameplay sequence, in all its HD glory.
Not bad at all. I love the melee combat and the slow motion effects together with the depth of field. The helicopter part itself was somewhat uninspired. The voice acting is just plain bad. But I'm interested to see more.
I agree, combat reminds me a lot of Catwoman in AC, it has a really good punch to it, also those moves and gadget moves are great along with the slow matrix motion style.
Definitely shows that they have been doing it for 4+ years, the texture work in particular is weak, and some screens have some weird painterly strokes going on, either it's a post processing filter, or the shots are 'shoped. Thankfully, the art direction is great and still shines. Really interested in this game.
She should has stolen his memory on how to fly the VTOL, lol.
The Art Direction is Friggin' Faboo. I don't love how angsty she comes across.
Hopefully they can smooth out some of the navigation/animation based on timing. The combat is looking very Batman, but that is a good thing. Overall this is looking quite good!
animations are too stiff ..
the slow motion bit was not accurate .. I mean the bullets were in motion ..even faster
couldn't their so-called captain shoot her while she was fighting ?
and are those feeble punches of hers supposed to knock a trained soldier out ,eh!?
give me a break !
This is looking pretty dam good, im amazed it's running on ps3
It was once an exclusive from what i've read, so i can only assume they made a bit of progress on that platform. It kinda reminds me of hydrophobia though in the fact its a poorly designed female protagonist with awful voice acting and scrpt and half assed animations.
Joanna Dark doing Assasin's Creed or Mirror's Edge, with tons of ridiculously inaccurate gunfire which is just a decoration, and lame voiceover. To me that memory theft is just a mild alternative of killing an opponent. It looks good, but everything else doesn't work for me.
Animations are stiff in Sleeping Dogs too and yet its fun to play.
I think it's trying too much to be something that it's not supposed to be (Uncharted). Still, gameplay and art style are very appealing to me, ill keep my eyes on this too.
PS: Nice to see some more french studios emerging.

OH GOD that had to be intentional, right?
Animations and dialogue need to be overhauled.
The level looks pretty poorly made too
