isometric camera for a game like this? After oblivion has shown us how well rpg's like this can be made. There is no excuse. The Isometric camera should just die. There is no need for it in this game with so much detail. Then again this screen looks low rez. Maybe I'll just skip this and wait for the next wrpg.

Isn't this more of a diablo style hack and slash type affair rather than an RPG? At any rate it looks sort of bland and tbh i still think diablo 2 is the best of it's kind with most of the competition falling flat. But then my index finger usually gets tired after about 40 minutes and it's not as much fun anymore, regardless of what game it is :D

Most ridiculous thing i've read here. Bashing hack'n'slash diablo-clone-wotever game for being isometric, comparing it to Oblivion ? Bloody hell....

Isometric view is the best for these type of games. So I am kinda assuming you have never played these type of games before and have no idea what you are talking about. Please stay away from the Diablo 3 thread.

Ye Diablo 2 is still the best.

I agree completely. Especially since the fighting system in Oblivion was a big pile of shit IMO....

then why throw so much detail into the game, why give you the chance to have mounts, why allow you to zoom all the way into the game for details?

How are does that relate. Oblivion and Sacred are both RPG's, they both contain huge detailed game worlds with loads of content. Hack and slash or not, the isometric camera just ruins the experience for me.

Why should I be limited in my view for such a huge and lovely world, where even customization of characters and amour comes into play? I just think using isometric for a game with this kind of scope is stupid, it would have separated from being another diablo clone.

thats the most rediculous thing i've ever heard. it's a dungeon crawler hack and slash. if anything, an isometric camera is the only way to go for such a game. no point pretending its something it's not (this is nothing like oblivion)

i think you should.

So you'd rather the game avoid being a Diablo clone by being an Oblivion clone instead?

Just asking...

Oblivion was not hack and slash per say, you had to time time your blocks, and sword wings. I think the camera would have been better with more options, I mean look at the witcher, It gave you an over head the head shoulder for more immersion rather than force you to use the isometric view.

yep I'll definately wait for that. Two Worlds temptations thou? I'm not really holding my breath.
