Xbox 360 PS3

We just got this first trailer of SBK 09, and as usual only the fans of the genre will care enough to even watch it. Not bad looking at all!

Although I dont know much about bike racing, the last time I wanted to buy one of these just for the challenge I rented it first and the frame rate got choppy on most corners making it unplayable. If this one can keep it together I'll but it.

I would really love to see a new Tourist Trophy as that was the best bike related game I have played thus far...this might be good too as long as it is accessible enough...

Doesn't look bad, but why can't they blend flat ground with hilly bits? (looks at pic 6 and weeps...)

It just looks like it's been plonked there.

And when are they going to start accurately modelling road surfaces? I think that's the next thing for driving games. At the moment, everything is nice and flat (unless you are playing a rally game). We're still a long, long way from a really good simulation of anything...

None of these motorcycling games are a patch on TT Superbikes, even tho that is for the PS2. The graphics might be dated but the feel of the bikes is second to none and it really is a really underated game and missed gem by most people.

Each year SBK and Moto GP churn out the same game with slightly better graphics etc but they bore me.

I'm really excited about the PS3 version of TT Superbikes that is coming sometime in the future.

Yeah that looks retarded.

About the road surfaces, I agree too.

Still, the previous SBK 08 wasn't that bad. Imho it was underrated by many people. Bike handling in corners was more realistic than for instance MotoGP's. More inertia/momentum that is. Haven't played TT Superbikes though, so I cannot compare.

SBK 08 wasn't so bad. Good bike handling in corners due to attention to inertia/momentum.

played the demo yesterday and was pleasantly surpised about the handling even on arcade mode. there's quite some weight to the bikes.

What's up?
  • Melmoth

Melmoth The companies are fighting for peoples time. If everyone watched netflix the whole day there would be no time to play games. (37 minutes ago)

Melmoth @Sdarts: the competition is wherever people spends their time. (39 minutes ago)

Sdarts Anyway, that's how I see this and what I believe will happen. But I'm not an expert at any of these things, so as just another bloke on the internet, let's just wait and see, time will tell. (1 Hour ago)

  • Sdarts

Sdarts Unless Microsoft royally fucks things up, Microsoft will "print money". And that's it. Sony and Nintendo will still be great, Microsoft will still earn more. (1 Hour ago)

  • Sdarts

Sdarts on Netflix. Specially kids and teens. Netflix is Microsoft's aspiration in the gaming space. Sony can be as successful as they want, they're no longer competing at the same level. (1 Hour ago)

  • Sdarts

Sdarts Netflix doesn't give a fuck about it. Netflix itself has said their competitors are something like Fortnite, because it's so successful that the time people spend on it, is time they're not spending (1 Hour ago)

  • Sdarts

Sdarts If anyone needs a perfect analogy, Sony is like HBO, while Microsoft wants to be Netflix. HBO makes some of the best TV shows ever. Period. Netflix's shows aren't at the same level of quality as HBO's (1 Hour ago)
