Bandai Namco has held its New Year's Showcase event and released this new trailer of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin as well as new screens. The title will be out on April 7th.
There's something wrong with the pictures though, they look really weird.
Also it's funny that they used DX11 as a bullet point to promote this...looks just like regular DkS2 :P
What really worries me is the new anamy placement you can see in these shots. Like why is there a heide knight at the tower of flame now? How is that going to make anything better? I was hoping that they would fix some of the dumber, annoying encounters (hallway before Velstadt, anyone? Or maybe the corridor to Looking glass knight?), but no. Let's add some skellimans to huntsmans copse and a heide knight to the tower of flame. GGWP :P

Well graphics was never a strong point in the souls series to begin with so it doesn't really matter given that it's just a straight port.
But it's not. They said they bumped up the grejfix with DX11 and also, it adds another expansion/DLC, and rearranges and rebalances the PVE. It's not just a straight port, and i think that if they are going to charge full price for it, they should have at least made it look closer to the original trailers. You know, back when the game still looked good :P
As for the graphics in the series as a whole, Demon's and Dark Souls are gorgeous games. They might not be at the top of technical achievements but they have way more coherent and thought through design than most games out there. So i'm in fact expecting great looking games from them, and Darks Souls 2 kinda failed on both counts there.
We'll see. I know people like Oroboro, Peeve and Lobos will be playing the game as soon as it comes out (unless bloodborne eats all the time) so i'll know ahead of time what shit they'll fling at me in this case :P

Seeing this makes me grateful that I didn't buy it when it was released and waited on the re-release. Especially, if what was said about these features not being included for those who bought Dark Souls 2 at release, are true.
they are focus on BloodBorne now,not even give a shit to DS2.they just patch DS2 with some more enermy shit,high damage shit,and fXXking low quality graphic shit.and sell it like a new game.the only way they can convince me is give me the fxxking free patch to UD my DS2.
