To many glamour. If you can disable camera shaking, maybe it's worth trying. But it's far too agressive.

They did not remove the blur in this game. It is same like shift but gfx are neat and cockpit look great.

I hope the sound is actually like that in the game. The Pagani Huayaraua (whatever its called) sounded amazing too in the trailer. I hope the replays are as visceral as that too.

this clip is from the pc version, note full AA and AF plus the sound if in game its not fake, i just wish they had done a full in car lap rather than part racing part replay it would have been better done as full race (in car) or full replay, using both just doesnt work but overall its looking to be the best racing game not just of the year but period, it looks miles better than GT5 and forza 4 will have to be somthing very special as EA have just upped the game.

how can a non-carcollectathon compete with the real deal in those types of games? At best, EA may have done a fine job to give players a fix untill the next big meal arrives.

or big mess as GT5 was, S2 is looking like a more solid game that GT5 or forza 3 was and rather than go stupid with the 60 fps crap they would rather make the game look and feel more solid, there may be more realisic racing sims out there only there trying to push the 60 fps crap over the actual grapical polish and sense of actual racing, also who has actually got every car in GT5 or forza 3, i personally dont see the point of including hundreds of cars as at least 50% will never get used and further progression will make the first set of cars (rookie motors) never get touched, who actually wants to race around in a slow assed beatup old car when youve got bugattis and zondas to play with !!!.

I do. Actually I enjoy games like GT, NFS:S etc only at the beging when I can get cars that are close to me in real life. Dont really give a shit 'bout zondas etc... So speak for Yourself mate. Nonetheless I cant wait for shift 2 :p

There is not a single car in those games where you can relate to, seriously.
Think about it, never looked at the specs of these cars.
Every normal production car in forza or GT is fitted with the highest performance parts available for that car. Example, how many times do you see a renault clio going around with a V6 in front or a volvo with 300bhp waiting at the red light. And these are 'normal' cars, just not the ones you see driving around all the time...
I'm happy they are giving us a game where you can race the cars you see competing in world championships and maybe even experience it, at least a little bit maybe...

Racing game at 30 fps? Don't make me laugh boy. They better make it run in 60fps (on consoles) rather than crappy arcade blur and camera shaking. It works only for kids and for not too long, then it goes boring. If you want to improve your skills, not just have a "cool" feeling you need to disable blur and go in 60 (or more) fps. It's more realistic than this "awesome" blur and color effects...

ok moron so your saying that F1 2010 is not realistic cause it runs @ 30fps and what other 30 fps games are boring, dirt 2, grid, TDU (TDU 1 is still very popular even though its over 4 years old) dont make me laugh when your own conclusion is made of utterly ridiculous statements also burnout paradise runs @ 60 fps but where in hell is that more realistic than shift 2 ??? lol talk about owning your self, just cause GT5/Forza run @ 60 fps that doesnt make them any more ralistic than a racing sim that runs @ 30 fps it just makes the gameplay smoother not more realistic.

I didn't say that only fps make game more realistic.Of cource not kid. It's impossible, but I've said that 60 fps is more suitable for racing games because they are requires real "in time" skills (like fighting games too). And I've said that making racing game run in 60 fps is more realistic (or more valuable for SIM-like game) than make cheap, glamour special effects that are nothing to do with helping improve real racing skills, but just for increase glamour and agressive impression. Real racing is smooth most of the time, it's not that angry.

Having seen the new gameplay trailer on Gametrailers, it does indeed seem that the sounds in this trailer along with the Huayararara trailer are faked.

Isn't it sad and pathetic that Shift 2 video is the PC version with a $600 dollar graphics card from 2011 as opposed to the 2006 technology of the PlayStation 3 and Polyphony Digital's hard work and research into a custom 3d engine designed only for Gran Turismo 5 that actually uses the CellBE and RSX, Bluray, HDD (or SSD) as a standard and even 3d option.
Yeah the Shift2 vid looks nice but is IS NOT as nice or sophisticated as GT5 where you can have 16 retail cars or full racing cars or modded at 1080p and 60fps. Yeah not everyone is a fan of Zondas or cars that are not really allowed to be proven on race tracks because they are really designed for the super millionaire club (B Veyron, Ferrari, etc) alot of us love cars that are reachable because not everyone wants a million dollar car and most of those people who do, don't understand the engineering that went into making them just like trolls spread missinformation to prevent people from understanding the work that went into making GT5.

you've hit it on the nail "fanboy rage" there have been several sim racers with dozens of normal cars reachable by normal people that run @ 30 fps like race pro or GTR on the PC just cause GT5 runs @ 60 fps and features over 1000 cars doesnt make it anymore realistic than Forza or GTR, people get over your selfs racing games are just racing games be it running @ 30 or 60 fps @1080p or not it realy makes little to no difference it's all to do with physics.
