Sony has just announced SOCOM : Special Forces and released these 3 images. Developed by Zipper Interactive, the game will feature a single player campaign and a multiplayer mode with 32 players.
i rented socom confrontation and i liked it, loved the first 2 socom games tho so will definately be buying this. knowing this is coming this year has pretty much killed any chance of me buying MAG now tho...lol i mean, why bother.
I know lot of guys are disappointed because they were expecting KZ3 but I am sure it will be announced soon or later. May be R3 will be announced at E3 and KZ3 in 2011 or something.
I have never played any SOCOM game before but I am looking forward to single player campaign. For me that is really important than all this online play :p Military, tactical shooter can be fun.
Socom games have always been a little fun, but there are so many other military shooters on the market that are vastly superior that I couldn't ever really get into the series much.
Unless they make some vast improvements I can't see this game being very impressive at all. I'll give it a rent if there isn't much else coming out at the time. They should release it in the summer when there isn't much to compete with.

i think that's the point. sony obviously have more announcements for the likes of E3 otherwise they'd have waited to announce it there.
socom was probably bottom of the pile as far as excitment goes, so it was announced earler. maybe they couldnt fit it into the show itself. either way it's a good announcement imo. confrontation wasnt anywhere near as awesome as the first 2 games (thanks to a shitty developer who made some shitty decisions). so i'm definately looking forward to seeing zipper back behind the wheel.
i'm definately more interested in playing this then COD:MW2/3/4/5/6....that's for sure.
