Once again, JonZ had the courtesy of sending us his latest Project CARS video and the least you can say is that it's a pretty big one. 4 Go of eye and ear candy that you'll only be able to download via torrent this time. Just saw that the video has a 2560 x 1440 resolution, thanks GSY and JonZ for delivering a video in this quality. Hopefully publishers do the same with this year's E3 videos... One can dream impossible dreams. =P

PS. Does anyone know which car is the one in the video's thumbnail image? Looks amazing design-wise.

Just watched this through my home cinema set-up and holy shit!!! The Zonda sound almost tore my 7.1 system to pieces!! lol Wow!! Plus the Porsche through the tunnel!! Oh my :D Thanks again Gsyde. Car porn right here in awesome quality!

well this is the best looking racing game I've seen so far. I think it could use some post effects or atmospheric effects though. It looks a little sterile, with the backgrounds not given the same amount of attention to detail.

Sound is great, but for me its far from clear sound. There is this kind of a "noise" in all these sounds I already disliked in NFS Shift. Im such a bitch when it comes to sounds in racing games. But the game looks superb, no doubt about it.

Honestly? This blows the doors and hinges off of GT replays and just how it looks in general.

Just saw the video and it is phenomenal graphically (cars) and sound-wise! Though there were some low resolution details like the side exhaust of a GT Class car at 10:06 - the resolution is extremely low - and the lack of AA in the last car's shadow at the end.

Still, first racing game to actually make me want to play it ever since Need For Speed: Underground 1 - I know they're different, all other racing games since then have never captured me like NFS:U did, played it always on Hard from beginning to end about 20-30 times now.

Any NFS since then just let me down, and any other car racing game didn't wowed me enough to even finish them once, let alone multiple times. Though Colin McRae Dirt 2 is excellent.

This game with Oculus Rift must be something out of this world. Since I'm gonna build a new PC for The Witcher 3 (really want to play it at maximum, crazy! ), gonna get this one as well, and hopefully, a OR as well.

Cars look and sound great, you really can't argue over that, but tracks, splahes and rubber shreds (which look like huge friggin' rocks btw) look so 1999 it's a pain to watch ! Resolution isn't everything you know...

I agree with Sdarts and SplitTongue about the low res detail on things like tracks, splashes and other things besides the car. They stand out quite obviously too.

just noticed the cars even feature all the advertisements/sponsors from the real life models even GT is advertised as seen with the cockpit cam at 11:07.

with any luck when this releases it'll show GT and forza a thing or two about what makes a great racing sim and im keeping my fingers crossed there is no rewind, engine mods or sifi prototype cars.

That's probably due to clipping when it was recorded and NOT noticable while playing yourself
