Black Rock Studio has finally decided to show us a new track of Split/Second, simply called Downtown. The game will be released in May and should feature some explosive races, to say the least.
I just cant wait for it, this is 100% my kind of shit lol Bring it on and then start working on Pure 2, meanwhile I want to see new Burnout and TDU2. Damn...I just got wet....
i only want a pure 2 if they add split screen, it's ommision in the first game was inexcusable. the first and only "SSX" like experience on current gen consoles and they dont have split screen. crazy.
this looks very good tho, much better then blur. but i'm a little worried that this emphesis on track destruction could cause the races to become quite predictable, and less about the racing itself after a short while. but compared to it's main competition (blur) it looks amazing.
The screenshots look amazing. The big issue I have with this game, based on the previous gameplay footage is there is not sense of speed.
It looks VERY slow, especially compared to Burnout.
Hopefully that was due to the way the video had been encoded.
the visuals are something to be very proud of. Great looking game from top to bottom. My biggest problem is that is looks like the type of one trick pony experience that will become very predictable and dull after a short amount of races, much like other arcade racers.
I'll rent it for sure, but I don't think this game is going to be nearly as good as pure turned out to be.
I guess it all depends on the actual racing gameplay and how fun/frustrating that turns out to be.
Graphics are good but environment is boring boring boring. The same thing with "burnout paradise". As KORNdog said it would be more time spent on destruction then on racing itsefl. Ofcorse it's an arcade game, but i prefer sim.

Same, I refuse to buy any racing game if it doesn't include splitscreen. It's just absurd. I don't play online. I'd take a less-pretty racing game if that meant it'd have split-screen.
