Trailer Xbox 360 PS3

Disney Interactive releases this new trailer of Split/Second, showing an explosive race on the Downtown track. Let's hope the game will not get stuck in the blockbusters traffic jam of May, as it's expected on the 18th in the US and on the 21st in Europe.

First impression is..they invented a tracks for one lap, cause everything is destroyed after first run

I hope Split/Second, gets a Split/Screen mode. Then it would look like the perfect "Rent it drink some brews and scream "Damn" every 30 seconds with your buddy"- Game.

Seeing this in action at PAX was beauuuuutfil. Game is really easy to pick up and play too.

So were the explosions and such as big as this trailer implies? And, more importantly, did the frame rate hold up during all these explosive events? B/c if so then this game might actually turn out great. Glad to hear you really enjoyed the gameplay, as that was/is my biggest worry.

Frame rate is alright, but could be better, but it's not the kind of game that needs to be buttery smooth. And yeah, it's all there. They have a quicklook of actual gameplay over at giantbomb if your interested. The track changers are real epic.

Damn I remember spending a fortune as a kid playing that in the arcade!

I hope the commentry isn't like this in the game, it could get very annoying quickly.

The explosions are that big yesssss!
Yeah it runs pretty flawlessly (also it looks insane on a 52 in or whatever HD screen). My friend played it as well and plans on getting it now after trying it out since he's looking at getting a racing game currently.

Looks pretty gimmicky/ framey but might be a nice change of pace...arcade racers worth a shit are a pretty rare bird these days.

that will be the biggest thing for me.. seeing just how many tracks it ships with..too few and it may become old very fast

I think it'd be more interesting if they added some other elements to the gameplay. Even after a good experience the replay is still a concern I would have. Hopefully this sells well so they can create a sequel.
