I loved this reveal, the game looks lovely. Spiritual successor to Nights into Dreams, a great game on the Saturn. It also seems like the great 3D Action-Adventure game that Sega and the Sonic Team never seem to nail. Really looking forward to it.

eh, would go so in like its a "Spiritual successor" when the game doesn't even show gameplay remotely similar. There is a lot of Nights (and Sonic) in it, like the SFX, colours, characters/designs, cool host type character/Avatar... all in all, but it isn't trying to be a Nights 2. And thats cool.

Finally a Y. Naka's 3D Mario?

Spiritual successor in gaming doesn't only mean gameplay, if a lot of the essential parts are very similar, you can call it a spiritual sucessor, as in "the original's spirit lives on". But anyway, not gonna argue about semantics. The game looks lovely and as long as it's great and fun to play, that's all that really matters. Already on my Steam Wishlist.

Btw, completely unrelated, but the lovely Scandinavian fantasy adventure Röki is out now:

It's Nights Into Dreams design, mixed with Billy Hatcher bits of gameplay and general feeling.
Personally, I love it so much. Best news of the year!
