Press Release :

London,UK. — June 7, 2011 — Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced the digital upgrade of Super Street Fighter™ IV with Super Street Fighter™ IV: Arcade Edition for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®.The add-on is now available as a download via Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network and PlayStation®Network. The entire Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition experience will also be available as a standalone product at retailers across Europe on June 24 and North America on June 28.

Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition brings the total roster to 39, adding four new characters into the battle with Evil Ryu, well-known twins Yun and Yang from Street Fighter® III, and an all new character, Oni. Each with their own unique move sets and super combos, these new characters are beautifully rendered in the trademark Super Street Fighter art style. All the returning characters in the roster have also been rebalanced, from subtle changes such as recovery speeds to more drastic hit box alterations.

The updated Replay Channel allows players to share their favourite battles with other players and makes it easier to watch matches for the best “Street Fighters” available. The Replay Follower allows tracking for 5 favourite players with notifications when new replays are available from this set. Proud players can distribute their data to up to 50 friends via the My Channel Advanced feature. Matches by featuring the best-of-the-best can be viewed on the Elite Channel where players can watch replays of the top players by filtering out matches with lower scores.

Now available as a download via Xbox LIVE for 1200 Microsoft Points or PlayStation Network for $14.99/£11.99/€14.99, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition delivers the ultimate vision of Street Fighter. Existing Super Street Fighter IV owners will still be able to play online against Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition via a free downloadable update.

Been messing around with this for a bit. My roommate's not too thrilled that they nerfed Ryu's air tatsu. It used to be a valid way to escape corner pressure.... not so much anymore.

New characters seem pretty awesome...if not a little like they were designed to just fuck everyone up. Obviously I don't actually think this is true, but on first glance, they seem pretty gdlk.
