GSY Video PC

Star Citizen's never-ending development is obviously still on and the game's backers have recently been granted access to the 3.7 version of the alpha. Just like the last time we gave Chris Roberts' colossal project some coverage, we owe today's video to French member atN, who contacted us to share his work (and what work!). Different features have been added to the latest build of the game, like procedural caves, new ships, a first person mining tool, a backpack which serves as a "physical" inventory system and the possibility to rent spaceships.

after watching the whole clip, it's all beautiful work. vast drawing distance the eye can see.
understandably good content may take a lot of time and effort to produce. and a lot criticism too in production.

though in my opinion, i think the developers selected too complex of a game engine to develop for and complicated.
not saying the engine won't pay off in the end results and high production quality. it's all great work.
just saying, the engine of choice might have not been the best decision. particularly for debugging and time constrictions.

that being said, there are a couple other game engines on pc that can produce similar content and manage to bring down development time significantly. anyways, i hope the backers eventually get what they've been waiting for. good content always takes time. and i look forward to seeing squadron 42 at some point in time when it's finished.

quite possibly one of the best looking online games around.
hope it runs as good as it looks.

maybe so, but it's far too late for that and i'm totally fine with it's presentation.
game engine diversity is also great. if they could offer the same experience at half the development time by switching over engines, it probably would have been the better choice. either way. the time for their other game Squadron 42 will be approaching next year. and we'll all witness more of it's advancements.
