love it. Sad though, as I assume from the silhouettes revealed Gouken wont be a season 2 character. Time to embrace the dark side.

Maybe it's just me but the SF characters just keep getting worse. Gouki was cool like...back in SF3. Looks a bout a million times more rad in T7 :P

None of the characters in 2017 season will be old characters, all will be new to the SF universe (that was what was said at PSX).

I feel the opposite, Balrog, Ibuki (especially her alt custome), Urien and now Akuma look fantastic compared to characters like Ken (well, his head, the rest of him is great looking). If you don't like the Akuma "lion" look there's the classic version of him too.

Well i mean, personally i think both 4 and 5 are quite fugly because the art just doesn't translate well in to 3d the way they are trying to do it. But that's just my opinion, i know a lot of people would certainly disagree. Even so i think 4 did a better job with the sculpts in some cases, Gouki being a very good example. His face in this just looks...wrong. Looks more like Balrog than Gouki :P

4 was fugly as hell though. proportionally they were all awful across the board. SFV actually looks quite close to third strike in terms of poses and proportions, which i consider to be the way these characters should look.

toelessfoot Right. I think programmable shaders were adopted fairly early on consoles (xbox360/ps3) (4 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Well, only recently they have been. I think this is the first gen I've seen where PC's are playing catch up. Not through hardware power, but through development cycles (4 Days ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (5 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (6 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (6 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (6 Days ago)
