They never said that. I think it's on par with LO technically, but as far as design goes, LO sucks, the design in this is much better. And the combat looks alot more fun.
I notice the screens still take place in the same hallway they showed back at E3. Seems like they are still trying to hash out the combat system and graphics, but it's hard to tell how this game will really look until they get it out of that one rlatively low-poly hallway. That said, I'm liking how the combat system for this game looks. Very cinematic.
Yeah, 1st and 3rd are shining with full power in-game. The 2nd is CGI, just compare the 2nd with the 1st and 3rd.. then you'll finally know how to see if something is in-game :\ (it can do a lot more, true :).. I love Square Enix!)
The FF I knew and loved had castles and knights and the main character wasn't a chick in a mini-skirt. I'm not even considering buying this game. It DOES look pretty, though, for what it's worth.
Uhm... yea plz let FF stay the same all the time - we don't want any progress and we want the same setting and the same characters and the same story ... uhm yea /sarcasm
Becuase FFX-2 had mostly pretty looking girls in it, Final Fantasy is morphing into something different? That's totally wrong. Because they show of a girl, it's not that it's changing into a chick-flick. This is only one character you've seen. - FFXII is looking good too IMHO.

ugh......Ive played quite a few of the older ff, and there is nothing uniquely distinctive about them compared to the newer ones...this is definitely final fantasy
