GSY Video PS3

Gran Turismo 6 is of course playable on the TGS showfloor, so here it is in video form. It's worth mentioning that this version had some strange slowdowns, and no doubt this will be fixed when the game releases.

Wow, he was a good driver, lol. Anyway, I see they haven't gotten rid of the bumper cars. That, for me, is unacceptable in a "sim" game with other cars involved in the race. It always boggles me how they can have such a good system for their car physics, but drop the ball on so much other stuff beyond graphics.

The bumper cars is sad to see but damn this is a good looking game, much like gta V a great way to end this gen, just a shame the ps4 will be out before this. Gonna be hard to play this when forza 5 is there to be had.

exactly why the likes of GT and forza arn't sim racers and probably never will be. i'm still waiting for the day a "sim" racer has crashes where when you go full pelt into a wall you're car litterally disintergrates. but seems that's never going to happen.

Those games are Sims in their approach to physics, not so much the stuff that surrounds racing. Still if you are going to race along and against other cars, there should be more realistic interactions. GT and Forza treat themselves as games with simulated, realistic underpinnings, not as "simulators". I know you can blow your engine in Forza( not sure about GT).

I think people have a point when they say GT isn't about crashing your car, so a lack of complete destruction makes sense. But since you claim a realistic approach, and put it in a situation against other cars, there should be a decent, equal reaction when you interact with them. It also makes the game more fun, imo, and encourages you to drive correctly factoring in not only the road and your line, but also your competitors. Especially if you want to say that you actually won the race...

exactly, that's why i always have and always will prefer rally games. the damage both physical and mechanical is way better. it makes you drive better becasue you know a single crash can write you off...well...that was before they threw rewinds in there, the most retarded addition to racers ever.

Forza at least punishes you for hitting walls and cars, in gt series you can often use it to your advantage. But gt does enough things right that it is far from a deal breaker. I'm just gonna wait and hold on for hope of a 1080p version for ps4
