THQ has released the second dev diary of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that deals with the combat system of the game, plus 5 new screenshots. The game will be out in early September.
Combat looks decent, nice hit detection and weight.
But the weapon swinging looks too slow, but thats what you get when you have a bulky character lol.
I wish for Starcraft game that was like this, would be awesome. That game has great artdesign, this one not so much.
Dont hate, I just dislike the artdesign in this game while I love the dark and moody tone of Starcraft.
You can like it if thats your liking, but I just dont like it very much.
To be the specific so you can trust me of why I dont like is, its the orcs they look like cartoony to me and not dark and vicious.
And the armor design is ugly as hell, but then again I dont fancy much on Starcraft's armor either.
I hate any bulky looking design.
I don't actually know why I ddin't knew about this game earlier, I would be all over it, maybe because I tought it was a MMO, just now I realize is a third person shooter with melee and gore that makes Gears gore like childplay.
Of course I will buy it, hell I will begin the hype train with this,...that freaking gore is so delicious!!
It only has everything I ever wanted in a shooter, Vanquish shoul dhave had this gore and this kind of enemies and "that" would have made it the shotter of the forever, now it might be this for me.
Looks pretty good although I am not a huge fan of Warhammer it pretty much invented the bulky armour thing. Repetition might be an issue if you only fight one type of enemy but the weapons and melee look quite varied and the visceral aspects look satisfying.

I love the hit detection and the weight behind it and the tiny visual glowing effects on the weapons, very great.
I am definitely very interested in this game.
