Looks like textures are going to be the scariest part of the game, at least on PS360. I´m so interested in the game, but PS4 or PC version :)

So I think there will be enough mysticism to go with the gore. Paint me interested. Now to hope it will have enough psychological terror and/or horror to justify the main characters last word in this trailer...

More scared by the it's low framerate tbh, but looks good overall nevertheless

Looks good. Creatures almost has a Silent Hill logo engraved on their back, but design is nice. Speaking of Bethesda game.....WHERE THE HELL IS NEXT-GEN TERMINATOR:FUTURE SHOCK??? I want it!

Even if this was last gen footage, the texture quality is just borderline atrocious, as are the dithered shadows, even for previous gen standards. I don't normally complain about things like that, but those really are noticeably bad. It needs to be made clear that the current gen versions won't have the same standard, otherwise that's inexcusable.

Gotta agree with that. Normally I couldn't care less about pretty graphics, but this looks terrible and is actually distracting to watch. It's too bad because the atmosphere and gameplay look outstanding. Some of these textures seriously wouldn't look out of place in an early PS2 game. Everything else looks incredible, but they REALLY need to sort out those graphics or at least ensure the next gen versions don't look anywhere near this bad.

As for the gameplay, it looks a lot like they combined the best of the best horror games out there (RE4, Silent Hill, Fear, & Outlast/Amnesia) into one giant horror-fest.........and that is a VERY good thing!

For who are saying graphics are bad i can say only this: " The Evil Within using modified ID TECH 5 Engine ".. PS3/360 maybe can not handle this graphic. But PS4, PC and Xbone will. And about animation, it's survival horror game. You need to feel desperate sometimes. Shinji Mikami was thinking about that while he is creating this game. I m really looking forward to buy it. It is day one for me.

Not bothered how awful this looks, or the textures are this and that. As long as it has a survival horror element, akin to the late 90's games then bring it on! Hoping this has some rock hard puzzles thrown in as well.

Monsters, atmosphere and premise all seem good!
The only thing I don't like is that generic "Eminem" antagonist who seems important but just too "im-an-evil-dude-with-a-hood-but-im-also-sexy-and-misunderstood", just like the protagonists in AC, Infamous or Prototype.
I don't want to play as these people, less fight them in a game!

Sorry, but that is rubbish. A texture LOD is scene and memory dependent no matter what engine it is running on. Rage had flat textures like these too on previous gen systems, but it also has some lovely higher res textures too in certain places. Rage had a valid excuse for this, though. It had vast open world environments using a megatexture. The console's system cache rate and memory bandwidth as well as not having adequate HDD space meant that those textures had to be low quality LOD and not the lovely high res source textures. This game does not have to accommodate any of this because of the confined environment. If the engine was a modified Tech 5 engine, then surely it should have been modified well enough to allow for high res stamps and overall source textures. Saying that previous gen consoles can't handle the engine is silly, when Rage and even Doom 3 on those systems look better than this if you are to compare how textures and shadows are sampled.

i wouldn't be so sure. the engine seems to have serious texture streaming issues and just struggles with them in general, resolution being a blurry mess at the best of times. it's even visible in the new wolfenstein in situations when you turn rapidly, but worse of all, is that the engine "forgets" that it has loaded in those textures and you can repeate the problem over and over. keep turning on the spot 180 and you repeatedly see crappy textures slowly pop-in. i think the engine is garbage tbh outside of the focus on framerate. it's like it was designed with SSD's in mind becasue that's the only way you can seemingly fix it.

i'm looking forward to both this and wolfenstein, but i'm not expecting anything even aproaching "good" from either visually.
