Xbox 360 PS3

EA and DICE sent out Battlefield: Bad Company to the stores a couple of days ago, making Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions available in both Europe and the US. Here are the first minutes from the latter version of this brilliant game, showing some of the main components of the game: humour, destruction and vehicles. You will also see some of the great graphics and amazing sounds.

Judging from the words above, I suppose it's easy to understand that I like the game. Technically the graphics engine really impress as well as the sound, but it's too early for me to say too much about the gameplay. The online multiplayer has a solid mode and there will also be another mode added by patch later on. There are also demos available of this game on both the Marketplace and PSN.

The video below shows the first mission in the game, enjoy!

Seems like a good bit of fun. And it looks gorgeous. Excellent lighting and amazing drawdistance. And first rate destruction on top. Nice stuff!

The game's good. MP is addictive the gold rush mode very well done and very solid, a bit short on weaponery/customasation for my liking. It's fun to play with people you know, then you can coordinate attacks and it's double the fun if your strategy pays off. Also camping does not exist, if you suspect someone sitting behind a corner you just blow it away, this is usefull when the attacking team planted a bomb, just blow up the walls so you can be sure noone is camping there in the corners. If you're trapped within a building make yourself a back exit. The destructable walls really add a lot of to the game, without that feature it really would be some average shooter.

The SP is fun as well altho far behind the MP because the AI is pretty bad (they'll flank you but sometimes they just stay there and don't do anything, also the timing they become aware of you is awkward).

That said it's well worth the buy if you're into FPS especially for the online mode (dedicated servers FTW, no noticeable lag untill now).

MP is total ownage from my point of view, you got a 360/PS3? go buy this as it's one of the best MP/FPS your gonna get.

gonna wait and pick it up cheap in a couple of months time i think. They improved it alot over the beta, but it still feels pretty cluncky when compared to cod4.

The graphics are pretty nice though...draw distance could of been better. The sounds really note worthy..an excellent job there.

My one bog complaint about the demo though is that the enemy AI in single player is laughable... it feels like a huge backwards step, and when you have levels full of destruction all around you the AI needs to be at the top of its game. Instead they just stand there for the majority.

This games owns so many other FPS's just for the amount of destruction, solid gameplay and of coarse the hilarious story.

Anyone know why every single video lags and chops like hell for me, since you guys changed the flash player (it was grey before, and all was well)?

That was Blimblim or Snoopers capturing, when it has been this resolution it has been me. We all three have the same capture card, but my processor is too weak to handle capturing 720p right now.
With some luck I will have a new setup within a week or two, meaning that I also will be able to capture in 720p.

This is not 480i though, it's Progressive and 480p. It's not *that* far away from 720p.

The new player show much higher quality videos so your computer might be old too handle it? My P4 handle it nice though. Could be some error with your Flash player installation or maybe some program running in the background stealing power? Anyway, click on "Watch low-res" below the player to use the old gray one.

The game is awesome. It's not a cinematic presentation like CoD4, but in my opinion it's good that DICE does seperate it from the mass. The characters are really deep and it's fun to be in their squad.

The graphics are amazing. I really don't know why some mags just give a 8 ore something. In my opinion it's easily a 10. But i gues most people confuse graphics with content/presentation. The lighting/shadows, vegetation, destructable/deformable environment and sound are miles ahead of CoD4. Also the characters have much better/realistic faces than CoD4.

The weapons are as detailed as from CoD4, but it lacks of customization. I've really liked the way to give your waepons different looks how you know it from CoD4.

The only thing i would complain about is that weapons don't seem to have noticeable recoil. On the other side, the overall handling is more realistic than CoD4, because you have the feeling to really bear the weapon. In CoD4 the weapon is in right angel to the screen, totally unrealistic.

Also when you throw a granade your body is moving and it's not that simple like CoD4. Then, when you snipe on moving objects you have to take their moving into account to hit the target. I am not bitching CoD4, because i've played it alot and i've still playing it. But i like BF Bad Company more than CoD4

yea I dont think this game has been given enough credit for how good it looks graphically. Especially in HD. No framerate slowdown and amazing looking SP. MP looks good too but seems a little dumbed down graphically, but its really fun! Game definitely is worth getting

I wish i could like this game.. Tried the demo ten times over and i still dont like it, even after i get used to the idiotic sensitivity and zoomed in view a'la Halo. I just aint laughing, not really having fun. And the sounds keep fading out and everything is playing from the subwoofer due to explosions near your ears..
This realistic sound isnt good in a game, a game where you can have 10 explosive shots from a bradley at your feet without dieing = a game of silence due to the sound muffling.
Sigh, Frontlines had great sound though. And vehicles that was to be feared.
