Jap rpgs? hello, its SOP to make your male char an effeminate teenager wearing a bare mid-drift or fishnets. It's clear their target audience is Mr. Herbert next door, so "lets settle this like sexy teenagers and see who can swallow the most tylenol PM."

so so stupid and it just killed the surreal wibe this game had going for it.
I was too mesmerised by the style and presentation to notice man boobs. This game looks stunning I just hope they can maintain its freshness, that theme song for example, whilst melodious and frenetic did seem to playon. Few games lean on music so heavily and it can truly be a device for evocative story telling, lets hope the quality I've seen in this 15 minutes is consistent throughtout the experience.
I'm not too sure I agree with the people liking this game. Sure the people that don't like it sound childish, and at the risk of sounding like one of them I must declare that this game is quite disappointing. Sure the lighting, story and structure seem quite excellent, but the character and combat design feels too cloned, almost to the point where it is quite diluted compared with other titles. The is no originality in any of the fighting at all, with most of the action feeling like Devil May Cry combos. And the monsters/demons? We can do a little better than that, can't we? How bout transitioning better from gameplay to cutscene while we're at it?
Aside from that, the character and story seem quite amazing. It was killing me that there was no English subs, and I still can't wait to hear more.

But considering you asked, I am 25 and IMO I think the main character looks like crap, up there with Lost Odyssey and Bayonetta and the Enchanted design.

I agree about all of those except Bayonetta, simply because the transformations were a really creative touch and kind of redeemed the whole character concept.
El Shaddai's character is just plain fucking awful, the only interesting thing is the weapon and the "gender ambiguity" is off the scale, it really does look like a mannish woman.
