Looks great but I really hope it's not as linear as Uncharted. This type of setting would really benefit from giving people the freedom to explore and take their time choosing where to go next.

My biggest concern over this game is exactly that.
Looks much more on lvl to U3 now graphically, but is that a bad thing? No not really, this and U3 from a graphical standpoint are incredible. I remember start of this gen thinking some moments of Ghost Recon and PGR3 looked real >_< I'd hate to look at them now lol.

pgr 3 may look seriously dated but the fun element is still there, just a shame bizzare creations shut down (no doubt activision played there part in shutting them down) anyway this looks stunning but i would like a bit more free roam than a linear path, the ps3 was supposed to be able to offer much more than just pretty graphics, linear games are so last gen, just allow for fast travel like fallout and for me this would be a sure fire fallout rival (sorry but i am a fallout fan).

They've done it twice with chloe and elena. Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder tho. So i'll let you off.
Info released seems like it will share some combat elements from 'i am alive'. Namely that you'll be able to bluff your way out of confrontation with a gun and no bullets. Hopefully wont be quite a clunky looking as i am alive though.
The balance of power system sees human enemies react according to the threats they perceive. Arne explains, “The balance of power between weapons creates an atmosphere of extreme tension in combat”. Basically whoever’s got the biggest stick is the boss of everyone. With ammo being in such short supply melee weapons are the main fall back here. As well as two by fours and other club-like weapons, one example Arne highlights is Ellie throwing a brick at an opponent to stun him as Joel attacks.
Guns are the king of weapons, obviously, but only if you have bullets. “When Joel’s pistol clicks, revealing he has no ammunition, the remaining survivor thinks he’s got the upper hand and moves much more aggressively since he still has a gun with ammo,” says Arne. It’ll be interesting to see if an unloaded gun still has ‘power’ as long as the enemy don’t know it isn’t out of bullets. Just imagine how satisfying it would be to bluff your way to freedom with an empty gun.
