It's lookin a lot better now, theyve added some atmospheric effects that takes the egde off the UE3 engine. Quite looking forward to it now.

The 4th Pic, running in the recent Trailer, looks really awesome... some of the best fire/glowing effects i've ever seen. reminds me FF: Spirit's Within.

It really shows that the use of a Engine in a generic way (many of the UEngine 3 western shooters look so muck alike its discusting), it's a Devs fault, and primarily their fault, not so much the engine.
There are some engines that you can use in different games, and you can't really tell they're based on the same engine. It's not the same with UE3, there are always little things that are similar ( the use of character Bump-mapping, self-shadowing, etc )... but with the proper use of it, and the refinement of the art assets, people can have the really gritty shooters in one hand like Gears of war, and RPGs like Lost odyssey and even more artistically apart like this one, and fool some people to wich engine is being used.

very nice scope and scale. Everything is in-engine...which is pretty cool Square is not using any pre-rendered stuff for this one

There ... at the 1.10 minute, the 4th image running in the video:

http://www.gamersyde.com/stream_7449_lq_en.html

I still don't know for sure if its a cutscene running in the engine real-time, or just a pre-rendered engine "video" all touched-up to look CGish, but it's awesome still.

also this game has great environments, but its really lacking in character graphics... IU has better character graphics but its environment sucks. This game has great environment graphics but its characters suck!!! (look at earlier pics)
