The new Ghost Recon gets teased

Ubisoft announced that the Ghost Recon franchise would be back next Fall with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier. Here is a first teaser of the game where you won't see anything particularly interesting. We are looking forward to seeing the game in action though.

YES! GR is one of the best series of tactical shooting! I love the combination stealth/open-ended objectives/shooter. Can't wait to see what they do after all the innovations of GRAW2.

I can't wait to see how they done this one.
If its more futuristic than before then I am gonna be interested, if its pretty close to GRAW, then meh.

But the fact these guys went completely invincible when cloaking (Killzone 2 snipers!) just shows its pretty far into the future :)

Anyway I don't know what to think about this...
This franchise doesn't need more future tech bullshit like cloaking ghillies.. I want the game to move back to the origin of the series and become a tactical shooter again.. even something like Ghost Recon 2 will do...
I don't care if the campaign has got that kind of stuff as long as the multiplayer is a fair and tactical game with out all those tech gizmo's in it....

And please Ubi give us another Rainbow Six.... (Not another Lockdown or Vegas)

i hope it's far into the future, with future tech, and mechs.. if they're going to do it they may as well go all out. I don't want a game set 5years from now and it being labelled "future soldier"

@FireWire, I couldn't agree more about getting another Rainbow six!!! and while I agree the SP in vegas was meh, the co-op terrorist hunt in vegas was fucking fantastic IMO.

I really enjoy all the online co-op stuff they did with GRAW and GRAW2 so I'm hoping for a return to form in that regard, but I do think the core gameplay in GRAW has become pretty dated and I'm hoping for some significant updates to the core gameplay to make the game feel more violent and give the shooting a little more punch.

That's really my only big gripe with the GRAW games, it just had overly tame gunplay with too much focus on tactical equipment.

But I am excited as I really like more deliberate shooters with a teamwork structure.

I get the feeling this will be quite the looker, possibly the best out there. Can't wait to see what's in store for us.

I just hope they can contain themselves, and iron out the horrible screen tearing ( © copyright by Ubisoft).

Totally agree with Firewire. I was so excited when they announced a new GR that wasn't GRAW. Instead we go even FARTHER into the future and get to be more advanced-er warriors. I know when I have played shooters in the past, I have always said, you know what sucks? Not getting to be a walking F-16 with cloaking abilities. Now, not only do we get to be invisible and able to shoot around corners, but I heard this game will also have bullet lock-on so you can just pre select the red triangles you will shoot and take out like 10 at a time! Sounds interesting.

Anyway, I still hold out a little hope for a return to roots for the Rainbow Six series, but the way all the good tactical games are going, I'm sure it will probably just be a QTE filled explode-a-rama with mechs and lasers.

The cloak disengages to show the light. If ya disengage the cloak, you probably aren't too picky bout being seen. Also, it's a goddamn teaser, they have to make it all dramatic and cool looking.
I hope it's good, and I hope they go real far, not just, look, this is some slightly out there tech. If they don't do lasers and thermal detonators, it probably isn't gunna be all that special. No doubt it'll be awesome, I loved both GRAW games, but still. I want more pew pew.

Technically GRAW was always about just over the edge of current stuf, some of the stuff it had was a bit out there, so I expect it will be fairly far out there. I'm not sure Mechs should be in a Ghost game though.
