Well their last was rogue warrior, which is cause for concern, its one of worst games of the year. If they can live up to the ip, then fine, but they're not a quality dev imo.

yeah the graphics weren't all that... but at least as a trailer, this one had me interested!

go watch the E3 gameplay videos of this game, it looks like total ass to me. Terrible waste of time and resources

tbh, it's not so much the developers last game, more the developers entire back catalogue since AVP2.

Iron Storm
Sniper Elite
Delta Force: Black Hawk Down
Dead to Rights: Reckoning
Rogue Trooper
Miami Vice
Free Running
The Simpsons Game
Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem
Shellshock 2: Blood Trails
Rogue Warrior

that's just a selection of the relatively well known titles they've developed, and not one of them was anything close to being good.

i want to believe they have it in them to make a great game, especially one based on AVP, but really, if history teaches us anything, it's that they're pretty shit developers.

This, a thousand times this. Goddamn I hope Colonial Marines isn't canceled if AvP fails. I always thought the Predator was an unnecessary addition to the franchise.

First thing I thought of when I played Left 4 Dead was, "This would be so great if it was Xenomorphs vs. Colonial Marines." Now that Gearbox, an actually accomplished developer, is making my dream game, I would be shattered if it was canceled.

hmm I enjoyed the simpson's game demo and sniper elite, but rogue warrior has been slated as one of the worst games ever, let along year. So we'll just have to hope and prey this game turns out good/great as the past trailers have looked awsome.

Plus I'm a massive fan of Aliens any way and would love a quality game in this day and age using the ip really well.

QFT. One problem that drives me crazy with gamers these days is how much so many of them seem to fall for hype and fancy trailers. I'll get excited like the next guy, and get my hopes up sometimes, but don't go assuming any game is gonna be amazing, especially one from a dev team with such a pile of shit track record as what Korndog provided.

So uh.... does it not at least count that their one good game was an AVP game? Is there a chance that they could duplicate the things that were good about it and make it better? How about we judge the game for the game and not the developer behind it based on other games. Allso, people come and go in Dev houses. It hasn't been the exact same group of people the entire time. Sometimes even one person can completely change the dynamics of a team.

As for Nietzsche's "problem with gamers these days" comment.... the problem with gamers these days is that all they know how to do is be overly cynical, complain, nitpick, and speculate on the internet instead of play games. Just sayin'.
