Exept the shitty unnecessary plot, remember NFS underground 2? with it's terrible plot and cliché characters. Or nfs prostreet with the stupid "racing scene vibe" Why can't ea just focus on making a good nfs game instead of wasting time and effort on irrelevant bullshit.
Also who the hell wants to play as a character called "G-Mac"? :)
And black box studios doesn't exactly have a good track record.

Sooo... what exactly are you basing this off of, when they've only shown about 5 secs of actual gameplay? Who cares about the throw-away characters and storyline? It's a racing game! Skip the cutscenes if you don't like them. I personally can't wait for this one, as it looks like a proper sequel to Most Wanted. Daytime racing with traffic and cops- Classic NFS!!
I want to know how many cars will be able to race at one time. So far they've only shown one on one. Hope it's at least eight.

I think we all miss the "hot pursuit" days. But I'd have to disagree with NFS having the worst arcade handling. At least the cars actually feel like they have some weight and inertia to them and don't just glide and zig-zag all over the track like many other arcade racers such as Midnight Club.
NFS stopped being a good game when they made NFSU 2. Last good NFS game was NFSU. Its down hill all the way to now. Im not judging from the video... it shows notting.
Its the two facts : EA and NFS = Suck (hope its not sucking everytime) But it seems when ever EA has got their hands on sumting, it turns to shit. just my opinion.
Still not 'classic' NFS in any way yet. They need to take the game out of cities, take away the 'gritty' 'realism' and racing movie 'appeal'. We're at the point where all the NFS games blend together and they're all bad.

thats what i hate about it, i'd take a feeling of no weight (which is almost an arcade racer staple...ridge racer anyone) to cars that feel like they weigh a couple huindred tons. NFS games just handle like crap imo. too much excessive weight on the cars

Oh, man I know, like I don't want to play "Too Fast Too Furious" the game, I want to play me some NFS. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 on PS2 is STILL where it's at for me!

Anyway.... EA needs to start realizing that we dont want an NFS game with movies in it, we want a good racing game. Thats it. Screw the actors, screw the story, lol story and cinematics in a racing game, wtf.
Hire more programmers for the money they hired the actors and cinematic artists for, and get some proper damn physics and car handling. Then ill pay attention to another NFS game :)
I mean come on, when the latest GTA game is more simulation than a street-racer, thats just a crazy world.
