An amazing use of cell-shading.....that style is getting more and more closer to actual hand drawn animation....

This sure is something else....keeping this one on the radar. Nice to see Volition is back on track after the THQ debacle. Curious about some gameplay...

I hope they go for this aesthetic in game. I really dig the CGI characters mixed with more drawn cartoon effects and stuff.

I don't like the way it looks.
Cartoony characters and cartoony graphics.
But to each their own and i agree that it's nicely done.
3D graphics in gaming have improved so much that the artist's work feel less and less limited by the medium.
What a time to be alive...

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (20 Hours ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (20 Hours ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (20 Hours ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think it'll be down to next gen engines making use of it where applicable. So, basically, if a game allows it, hardware permitting, it'll be used. (20 Hours ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Yeah, that's the thing, isn't it? PC's are a bit too much of an open platform hardware wise for it to be standard implementation. (20 Hours ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot @MrWhite: How long until we see that kind of thing in PCs do you think? I guess consoles are more future proof than a current PC in that regard. (20 Hours ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite new api's that talk to gpu and ssd's are the exciting thing there. That'll be present in both console and PC, eventually. (22 Hours ago)
