Sega releases a new trailer of the very promising Viking: Battle For Asgard, from the english studio Creative Assembly. It looks really cool !

Looking good considering the scale.
But is that Navi following the main character around a Viking battle field...?

From what i've heard, it isn't going to be entirely hack n slash and a lot of quest elements will be involved.

I have to say, this game looks awesome. Definitely going to pick this one up, but I want a demo first!

Creative Assembly is a pretty good dev house, so hopefully the controls and game mechanics will be good.

What's up?
  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (16 minutes ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (1 Day ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (1 Day ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (1 Day ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think it'll be down to next gen engines making use of it where applicable. So, basically, if a game allows it, hardware permitting, it'll be used. (1 Day ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Yeah, that's the thing, isn't it? PC's are a bit too much of an open platform hardware wise for it to be standard implementation. (1 Day ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot @MrWhite: How long until we see that kind of thing in PCs do you think? I guess consoles are more future proof than a current PC in that regard. (1 Day ago)
