Trailer PS4

SEGA released late last week when E3 closed a new trailer of Yakuza 0. Here it is in good quality. The PS4 title will hit West in early 2017.

Can somebody explain the cult following behind Yakuza or is it you have to play it type thing?

Well, i can only speak for myself, but i think they generally do a good job with the stories and characters. That combined with the shenmue-esque exploration and minigames just makes for a fun time. Though i can certainly understand why some people might not like them as well. If you can't get in to the yakuza drama aspect, i don't think there's much for you here.

But basically, it's a story driven action game, and it tells a kind of story that i've never seen in a game before. If that sounds appealing to you, i'd suggest checking out maybe Yakuza 4 or, if you aren't picky with the graphics, Yakuza 2 on PS2.

They didn't even try using the upgraded PS4 hardware with those graphics, damn, it looks the same as Yakuza 5!

Anyways, it'll probably still be awesome and the game that will tip me over to finally buy a PS4.

toelessfoot Right. I think programmable shaders were adopted fairly early on consoles (xbox360/ps3) (4 Days ago)

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Well, only recently they have been. I think this is the first gen I've seen where PC's are playing catch up. Not through hardware power, but through development cycles (4 Days ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (4 Days ago)

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (5 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (5 Days ago)
