firstly, i'm having trouble seeing the reason for sonic to be a 3D model at all when a HD sprite would have been just as good, if not better. it would have maybe even rectified that floatyness that you can clearly see in the trailer. plus a few of the slightly weirder animations, like the jump.
secondly, as andrezunido mentioned. the fact it's episodic is kinda killer imo. i'm at least hoping each episode is the length of sonic 2 or something but i doubt it.
and the major thing that bothers me is the lock-on targeting. why do they think we're incapable of jumping on the enemies heads like we could do 15 years ago? why does that lock-on attrack even exist?
other then those admitidly major things, i think it looks good.
As for the length issue, considering the length of the only /good/ sonic games, it won't be hard to outdo that with episodic content.
