Xbox 360

The good news is that this week will go into the history as the first week-after-E3 to have something worth writing about. The bad news is that it's a trailer from a game which seems to have the least amount of interest from the public, at least here in the west. The in-game graphics, a kind of advanced 3D cel-shading, looks really interesting and hopefully some of these games will come here some day too. For a lesser price. Cause I'm not paying 60€ for a game like this, but then I don't live in Japan either. Hopefully games like these will boost the sales there a little bit.

I don't remember a cell shading game catching my attention since Zelda: The Wind Waker.

And it seems that it wont change for now =)

Wow, you have to be pretty sad if you base your decisions on graphics alone. Graphics aren't important, gameplay is. If I had to choose between a game with good graphics and poor gameplay and game with great gameplay and ok graphics I would choose the latter everytime.

I hope it will be good..however was impossible to judge it from this trailer.

Btw bossz i rather take story/characters then gameplay, and before someone write,"read a book then" look at FF8 did anyone really like to fight with that shit system?

The story made us go through each battle/boss not because of the gameplay or battle system.

Boosz couldnt agree more pro evo is a fine example of that and so is for alot of ppl 1.6 counterstrike to its source counterpart next generation isant just about graphics or a new paint job its also about being able to create and do new orginal things...anyway you never know it could be quite a good rpg just got to wait and see.

Of course it's not all about graphics. The Spectral Force series is quite famous as far as I've understood, and I've actually read about the third one quite alot. Anyway, the (in-game) combat images explains themselves pretty much.
And - RPGs doesn't interest me a bit. It's sad, I know, but I can't play offline RPGs. I got boored with Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts was OK but nothing more - for me. I even stopped playing WoW after like two weeks, and that's scary.

Perhaps you won't be so defensive if you paid $60 for a game that could have been done on your last generation machine. Game developers are using the excuse that games are costing $10 more than last gen games because of development cost and larger development teams. That indeed maybe true, but consumers aren't stupid either. We can tell when a developer has bent over backwards to deliver something quality and when a developer put something on the shelves to claim some poor casual gamer as a sucker. Keep in mind that Gears of War has development team of about 30 people. Now that is a game worthy of the extra $10. I think that's why people are so harsh on graphics now. It's supposed to be pretty because there really aren't any limitations on visuals with the new hardware.

I don't think PES has crappy graphics. I've played the series almost 3-4 days a week since PES2 came out, and the animation system makes up for the poor "textures". I choose the PES graphics over Fifa any day.
People always use PES in the gameplay-vs-graphics-discussions, but I don't get it. It's not THAT bad. The faces looks real, and it's hard to have a fluent framerate when 22 players are running around on the pitch, doing advanced animations.

I'm sorry, nah - I can't read or understand Japanese, and I really don't know much about cel-shading. But the game uses some kind of cel-shading CG for the movie sequences, as you can see here:

Interesting, I certainly hope this game made it outside Asia.

Ps: I heard that Far East Of Eden: Ziria is coming in North America, any truth to that?

In this day and age graphics ARE important, and so is gameplay. But just because someone says 'wow these graphics are awesome' doesn't mean they're gonna buy the game based soley on that. But graphics are the first impression and they play a large part in making the gaming experience pleasant.

I agree to some extent, but it's clear to pretty much anyone that these are nothing more than scenes captured from FMV sequences.

It seems to me that the art style and voice acting is of a pretty high qauilty so hopefully the game will be decent.

This game comes out on the 29th of June so hopefully Blim will test it out for us :P

Hudson stated that there was a definite possibility they will include the original Japanese dialogue with English subtitles in addition to the English voice-overs, but that since they are so early in the localization process, anything can happen.
Yippie!!!!

And news of a new RPG for the 360, I guess they must like devloping for the 360.
