really cool, cant wait for the game.

wonder how the demon will be controlled, or was this already explained? maybe some kind of special meter with special moves?

Am i the only one who finds the executions a childish method of getting attention ?
The game looks fantastic, but been as though the trailer is full of diffrent grose ways to kill people, i feel the game has little else to offer the genre.

and what i ment is this bassicly no diffrent than any other shooter we have played, so they are going to rely on people going "zomg i stuck my gun in his mouth rofl/lmfao/lol" yes it looks lovelly, but for me, next generation is not about who can make the best looking tech demo, it is about using the hardware to bring something to the table that was not possible with last genration,
yes in the first 6 months i expect people to be showing off the graphics because that is the first major selling point of anything next gen, but that time has gone now, now we kinda expect it look nice, that is no longer "fun" they should be moving on from the tech demo showdown, and give us the reason we play games, to have fun, solve puzzles lose our selves in a world that is unable to happen in real life.

Not do the same things we be doing for since the DOOM came to be but only more sparkly

I see what you mean , but I think it suits the whole story , besides the comics were violent as hell. So with the Violence beeing a part of the Darkness Franchise. They cant leave it out. would be like giving superman a completely new suit because his old one look silly

This game is gonna be so many ways of awesomeness! IGN said it had the best opening 10 minutes ever!!! Very impressive. I would like more expression on Jackie's face, but we all know he's a cold blooded mob man, so he'll like to keep it all inside ;)

You do know you're talking about FPSs, right? This game isn't trying to reinvent the wheels, just make a frackin' awesome game based on the comic book, and giving you tons of action. If you want to "have fun, solve puzzles lose our selves in a world" then get ready for Bioshock. It has loads of RPG elements and a trippy story.

They can still innovate a fps you know........just with that kind of attitude they are not ever going to bother, like there is not enough action based fps on the planet... name me a fps that is NOT action based :(

ManThatYouFear, I totally understand your point of view. I too have been waiting for a completely new and innovative experience, these current games are rather redundant...

Developers should look at Deus Ex and how it turned "just another FPS" into an incredibly unique experience. If you haven't played it, definitely check it out!

'ManThatYouFear,' there's shit loads of fps's out this year. Other than BioShock, this is one of the only doing something new. I believe everything you said about moving on from graphics and going into new and unexplored territory is exactly what this game is doing. It has an emphasize on light, it has cartoons and films tucked within it, it has no hud, oh yes, and it has two giant arms used for ripping people apart.

Gears of War was just a tech demo, using the chainsaw to get some attention. This is adding many new things to an fps. It's a shooting game where you'll probs never care to fire a shot.

Come on, he's refering to the way they're just showing people's faces being eaten over and over.

Yeah, this trailer definitely tries to market the game on shock value, but there's enough faith in Starbreeze (of well deserved Riddick fame) to go around when it comes to actually introducing new ideas to the genre.
