Activision released this new trailer of Transformers: The Game, showing some of the robots in action. Clearly no one should expect a great game, but at least the transformations look nice.
Man that trailer makes it look so awesome, too bad 99% of movie based games are trash. Ima rent it tho regardless of how bad its likely gonna be cuz im closed minded when it comes to anything transformers.
Too bad this probably won't have Minicons like PS2's Transformers did.

Uhh...? Explain? The Transformers released for PS2 was great, so there's no reason why this one couldn't be, unless they completely screw up everything that made the PS2 game so great. Of course I notice the graphixxx are not up to par, but that doesn't mean the game couldn't be any good. It depends on gameplay. As I said, they've probably removed the Minicon feature (since I'm not sure if those are in the movie?), which could make it a bit worse than PS2's excellent Transformers, but it could still be a decently good game. Of course they could've replaced Minicons with just "normal" weapons you can equip. I don't have a problem with the fact that this doesn't really seem to be a "true" next-gen experience. Still, a good mech-fest game is always welcome.

Yea.. the PS2 game was supposedly really good. Never played it though. Would be more interested in this if it weren't strictly a movie tie-in.. but movie games aren't always bad.

i like the transformation anaimations, other then that i dont like the general style of the new transformers. they have completely messed up prime and they all look far too complex. like walking scrap metal that are only distinguishable from their colours. definately one for the die hards and the casuals.
Im looking forward to seeing more of this game. I like Transformers, in ages past I had some Transformer toys... yeah, I'll be keeping an eye on this game. Oh, and a demo would be really nice!
Yeah I agree with you Korndog, i would have liked them to keep more to the original designs for the movie. I think these designs are cool, but not for Transformers.

Aye, I can see the trouble some(or alot) of fans have with the movie(2007) designs, though myself I like them! I'm a kind of "let the dust settle and give it a chance" type of guy, so I'm perhaps more relaxed towards the new designs then other fans.
I always was a huge Transformers fan, I still got the puppets and everything in the basement!
Personally I dont like the derection of the movie/game, and I dont like the derection they went with the Robots, cmon, this just isent is what transformers were all about!
Another (not transformers) robot game may have gotten away with this because everyone can see, the animations are very nice and the graphics arent that bad, but for a Transformers game/movie, this just doesnt cut it.
I bet it will be a clone of the game Hulk. Somehow some missions where to do x and y and then mission is done. I hope the gameplay will be more than this..
