Give the demo another go, don't play the falling clock tower level first. You'll find the other level offers a pace alot more inviting.
Take a look at your combo list, realise how deep the games combat system is, and practice.
I have played the demo this morning. And I don't get it. I don't understand the hype. Can someone convince me why I should get this game?
Let me first say what I didn't like:
The graphics are meh...
The colors are all over the place
And it's extremely hectic with all the 'effects'
Why don't I get it???
I thought exactly the same and then, one day I got bored and give this game another chance. If You can get past awful character design ( sailor moon meets hentai and pokemon) and totally stupid story(as far as I can understand it lol) its quite fun to play. Combat is really simple ( no real depth here ), You get as many continues as You want, checkpoints are quite often so You wont waste time on repeating whole levels. On the other hand boss fights are really cool and intense. Im not getting the hype at all though but I was wrong thinking its going to suck big time. After playing for just 2hrs Id give it 7/10.

So if the game wouldve had someone like Kratos or Dante or some bald marine in roids wouldve been better?
I mean Im tired of this already if you dont like it fine but calling it some of the worst artistic decisions its just going overboard.

Worst artistic decisions? The art is better than any of NG,GOW or DMC(except the DMC1) games!Of course one part of me stills like Dante as a character but now I like Bayonetta moar!
