Unsurprisingly, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection has just been made official by Sony two weeks before E3. All three games will obviously be included and will run at 1080p and 60 fps. A photo mode will also be added as in every recent port and those who are ready to play the trilogy again will get an exclusive access to the Uncharted 4 beta in Spring 2016.

Seriously, though. I never played any of the Uncharted games before, and for people like me, this is great news. When I do play them, it will be the "definitive" version of all 3 games.

Like I said before, contrary to movies or music, games only get better as time goes on through patches, GOTY, Ultimate, Enhanced, HD and etc editions. Not to mention most bugs are fixed and a ton of other things more like mods (PC) and walkthroughs.

I'm seriously wondering if buying games day 1 is even worth it anymore, since nowadays I can only play a game once, time wise, and I will almost always have a better and more robust version later at a considerable cheaper price.

Plus I have a huge back catalogue and can wait, as long it isn't a game I really don't want to wait like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Batman: Arkham Knight.

I know a lot of other people are starting to think the same, so maybe companies are shooting themselves in the foot with all this massive "remasters/remakes" trend. Feels like a "catch-22".

I hope Demon's Souls is next, Uncharted is good but only 3-4 types of enemies in Naughty Dog games and that's boring for me, but they know how design interesting set-pieces.

Why is it called The "Nathan Drake" Collection? I thought this kind of title can only be used when Nathan Drake's story is over.
Every entry to the franchise was about Nathan Drake, and the future Uncharted 4 is going to be about Nathan Drake, can't they come up with a better title?

i feel like it's some sort of "master chief collection" situation. although it doesnt work becasue halo actually had 2 games that wern't about MC (reach and ODST)were as uncharted is always about drake and you play as drake. could be that you predominantly play as sam in uncharted 4 or something? i dunno

plus it sounds like a fashion range or a cologne lol

It's probably something similar to the rumoured "Gears of War: Marcus Fenix Collection" - which the developers denied being in development. Where the main protagonist's name is almost as well known as the games themselves. I don't mind it. Though a "Treasure Hunter Collection" or something more in line with the lore would probably have been better.

Bluepoint Games, awwwwww yeah. Great team, their collections of Metal Gear and ICO and Shadow were perfect and had next to no flaws. This seems like the next step 4 years later, taking on one the most insanely advanced game engines from last gen.
I want them to include a Character Model viewer like in Jak 3 :)

No wonder Sony are giving us very little in the way of new games these days!

Having played every Uncharted game to death (maybe not the 3rd as lets face it after 2 it was not very good) i have little interest in these....How about some new fucking games Sony?

On the flipside right enough if it's a proper remake like the Halo games i could just be tempted!

I only played U1 and 2, didnt bother with 3 since i just wasent a fan of the gameplay and all that. Just enjoyed the movie-like cutscenes they were good at making.

What are the two? The Order is one right? Which was fucking shite whats the other? Im looking forward to the Heavy Rain type game in August whats coming at the end of the year?

the order, bloodborne and untill dawn later in the year. oh, and everyones gone to the rapture. not bad going on the exclusive front. we still havnt heard from GG, bend, MM, or santa monica though so hopefully we get to see what some of them have been up to at E3. and hopefully some of it comes out in 2016.

The order and Bloodborne. What is the one at the end? Would surprise me if Sony released a new game at the end of the year as there is nothing known yet.

Until Dawn is out in August, Sony could suprise us at E3 with GT7 coming for ther big title this fall.

Well, at least now we have an official reason why Uncharted 4 was delayed...

..so we could be force fed the first 3 games. I hope the remaster is completely fucked like the MCC. At this point, with how tired, and dissatisfied gamers are with the ''next-gen'' consoles garbage library which both consist of TOO many last gen ports, i would suggest moving to PC.

PC doesn't have this problem, because resolution can be changed on a whim, and mods offer HD texture packs (as well as the developers sometimes). Scholar of the First Sin is the only ''remaster'' i can think of, but that's a game that actually is worth picking up.

The Uncharted series 1-3 coasted through basically on graphics alone, and the fact that there weren't many great AAA experiences on PS3 at the time the first game came out. Many people didn't like 2 all that much, but enjoyed 3.

I don't see the benefit of this re-release. If they charge 60$, they can go to hell, and i wont be buying Uncharted 4.

If you have never played them you owe it to yourself to pick this up, 1&3 are decent, 1 has not aged well and 3 was a bit disappointing but 2 was an absolute masterpiece! I doubt even 4 will be as good.
