If you liked the first, you'll like this one.

I played a demo and it is much better than the first, the annoying bugs are gone, you can now shoot an enemy even when hidden, you get to shoot the sniper rifle, it just gives you more control over your team wich is great. It seems that the game will have a higher lasting appeal than the first........which had very little to none to be honest.

I'm sure it'll be a good game, and one last thing, the graphics seem "refined" this time. Nothing we didn't see in the first game, just improvements to that, but FSW was a great looking game anyways.

I never liked the first so...looks like an expansion pack, so I think I'll pass on this one.

It seems like I'm one of the few that loved the original. Is any two player split screen coop included in Ten Hammers? Or is the MP mode only versus?

I played the single-player demo of this last month and putting it frankly, this game is an entire revision of the ideas and concepts in FSW, most certainly NOT an expansion pack as it hardly even controls like the original.

Looking at the multi-player mode of Ten Hammers, this stuff is amazingly awesome and like the eponymous multiplayer in Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, looks to go a long way to reinventing what it means to have multiplay in a videogame. Something tells me that just like Pandora Tomorrow, the multiplay alone will be worth the price of admission for Ten Hammers.

I'm not trying to sell you on the game as I can easily see that your mind was made up about Ten Hammers (and any other game that is bound to pop up in the FSW franchise) two years ago, but thought that it was important to add a bit of perspective for the other readers of this thread.

From what I have seen of this game, from what I have played of the singleplay demo and from what I have read in interviews, my only gripe about Ten Hammers is that it is not a next-gen title. For FSW vets, picking up Ten Hammers initially is very dissorienting as the control layout and all the extra features is very different than what you have grown used to. However that being said, persevere through a little bit longer, as learning everything that they have added into the game and how they have logically relaidout the controls to accomodate and balance it all is well worth the effort. After playing the demo through two or three times, I found it very difficult to not only go back to playing the original, but also to even thinking tactically like the original as it is very tactically limiting when compared to Ten Hammers. I always find it amazing when a good developer takes a given formula and manages to add everything under the sun in the sequel, yet retain fun and balance and Pandemic is no exception in their handling of FSW: Ten Hammers. There is so much new to learn and the fact that the enemy placement will be randomized in the final game, means that you can play through the game over and over again and practice your strategy to your heart's content. The graphic engine itself, is just as gorgeous as the original, just a lot more refined (as was pointed out above) and a lot more 'crisp' and looks to feature a new lighting engine. It is a shame that Pandemic (a company that collectively with BioWare, now has over $300 million in the bank) should release such a crappy video of such a beautiful game. I am seriously hoping this game will be forward compatible with the Xbox 360 and that a new demo shows up soon. So far, it not being a Xbox 360 game is the only thing to count against it.

I loved the first one as well. One of the BEST co-op games ever. I've played through the entire campaign at least six times with a good friend via online co-op. This iteration of the franchsie looks like it be very entertaing. I'm all over this one.

Always put off on the first one as it had us army 'sponsorship' and looked too analy retentive. Is this one more free form and guns-a-blazing?

^^^ no

The multiplayer looks to be just as innovative as the single player in the first on. I hope this is BC cause i probably won't get it if it isn't (since i'm selling my xbox)
