Play with a mouse. It was made for it.
It's a multiplatform game. Worms has had good gamepad interfaces for a very long time now. And it's a great local MP game. When you have four guys sitting around a TV it's not really fun to pass a mouse and keyboard around. Support for multiple inputs is basically a must.
