Xbox 360 PS3

Virtua Tennis has just landed on the X360 Marketplace. After a couple of hard defeats, I've recorded my performances. You'll see two games, one with Federer and the other with Nadal, against Sharapova and one of the Williams sisters. Hd version should be available later today.

hehe got your ass handed to you same as me in first trys i never dived that much though lol you were diving for every shot pretty much. :P And the beast Williams destroyed you 40-0 40-0 ouch with Federer. I have noticed though that Federer has more of precision shot then strength his power on shot is rather weak tbh. My only gripe about demo is serving hard rallying easy though and sound pretty crap. But it is great fun when you get used to it and work how to beat your opponent its always been arcade game so does not strive for realism and pick up and play great fun. :)

is there ANYBODY in the world who enjoys such a stupid music while playing tennis? the first thing I will do when I get my hands on this game is to go into options and turn the music off!

other than that: I hate it that the players fall down so often... I mean, how often does this happen in real life?

People who are diving all over shop are not getting it right you should be able to do a match with only a few dives that was well over the top i never dived that much. :/

You can easily run to the ball and smack it back just that people are being to quick and making player dive. :)

The controls in vt3 are unbelievably stiff. you stop for like a second before turning in a different direction whereas vt1 was extremely quick.

i think ill stick with Virtua Tennis, This one has undergone alot of changes.

Has anybody seen the finished game in 1080p? Loved the dreamcast (arcade) original. Last time the 360 version was compared to the ps3 it did not come off very well...looks better now though.

Played it, didn't like it.. As expected the gameplay is to arcady for me.. Topspin2 remains the best proper tennisgame imho.. So I'll wait for Topspin3 (if it ever gets released).. Hopefully that will look nice aswell and have all the topplayers..

P.s. mjfox, yes, the music is annoying as hell (adds to the whole arcade thing I guess)..

I remember having a discussion about this with (I believe) you a while back.

And although I still feel the same way about Top spin being shallow and not really going deep enough into what tennis is really about, VT3 has turned out nothing like what I had expected it to be.
The animations are horrible and it has too much annoyances like the music, those weird ball/hit-traces etc. (graphics and art are much better though)

So I have to agree with you here, I'll save my money for Topspin 3 (if it sees enough improvements)...

OMG WTF is up with the ball physics?! The ball never goes out of bounds! Even the tennis game on my MOBILE plays much more realistic than this.

Nice graphics, but I'll stick with Top Spin. And Federrer getting owned by Venus? Shame on you snoopers o_0

That music is making me so MAD! I love rock as much as the next guy, but hardly appropriate here. There are quite a few technical glitches too.

The replays are absolutely horrible. All they do is use one camera angle.

Seriously, my mobile tennis game is way better than this sack of gameplay garbage.

It's addictive as hell. The first half hour I never won a game, now after playing it for around an hour and a half I can win quite easily, with no dives at all. It just clicks and you learn how to move and where to shoot.

Prefer it a lot more to the Top Spin 2 demo I played a couple of weeks ago. The music IS awful though...

Man I hate the way character jump almost on every balls.
Its kinda annoying. My dream just went down to hell now :(
Guess I have to try it out myself. Still Virtua Tennis on Dreamcast is the best!

Snoopers, you should stay back on the baseline in order to make a good return. Then you need to get a lot closer to the net if you want to successfully volley. I think you definitely made it tougher on yourself by staying in the middle of your side of the court. Good luck.
