True. Just because one game looks good on a system doesn't mean all of them will. Not to mention this is a cross platform game. I'm getting this game, but I'm not planning to be blown away by the visuals.

Funny that none of these kids are mentioning how it will be performing or looking on the XBOX ONE!

Ive just lost quite a few hype for this recently, but damn, still looks killer. I still want it ;)

I'll wait for the comparisons between platforms and see how it performs on various PCs before deciding if I want to pick this up. It just bums me out that Ubi pulled a colonial marines on us with this game. I was really looking forward to an open world game with the level of visual flourish on display in that first E3 2012 demo. And something tells me that their claims of the PC version being on par with that demo are just false.

That's because it won't. 'Sloppy seconds' comes to mind for some reason.

not that i think this game will be lame, but i notice that when a game starts quoting single word phrases like "awesome" and "amazing" in their trailers i start getting the feeling that the game will turn out very average. usually the quotes are cut short when they put them in the trailer.

Hypothetical Example:

"This game tries so hard to push the envelope and create an 'AWESOME' experience, but it falls flat." - IGN

Trailer: "AWESOME" - IGN

looks like the trailer did not have any of the exclusive nvidia technologies in it like HBAO+ or physx when they talked about in a previous video!, looks like the console version with a higher AA setting.

got my game for ps4 this morning in post early. its just loading as i type this

ah and im dissapointed..it looks bland as hell :( not 1 good texture can be seen

every ingame item from cars, desks, bottles, plants etc look pulled from a ps3 game

I have to agree. Ive played for about 2 hours and wow this is one bad looking game. I had the chance to try ps4 and x1 before i decided which version to buy and saw absolutely nothing to distinguish the two other than x1 seemed a lot brighter. They both have fugly blurry textures, last gen pop-in, stuttery frame rate and poor AA.
I will play it for a few days but Im pretty sure im going to throw it on Ebay before the weeks out. My advice is to watch a few hq streams before u drop your hard earned cash on this.

alot of pc gamers have been complaining on youtube also because the pc version does not look half as good as that tech demo...you know that one where they all said thats what their version will look like haha

dont get me wrong it obviously looks better then the console versions but its still crap to what we was promised

its buggy as hell too, no reflections of any people in the game also the reflections in the windows are not actually of the area around them lol

i went to this building was all glass at bottom it was surrounded by solid wood high fence which was about 6 ft away from the building creating a little alley way type thing i looked into the glass and it had a FAKE reflection that showed a wide open road and buildings when infact it should have only shown the fence lol.

also i caused a road accident so traffic slowed and a ambulance came driving fast to the scene with the sirens going BUT out of nowhere infront of my eyes it vanished into thin air :/..the cars in the traffic did not

this happens alot through out the game, cars and people just pop in and out willy nilly right in front of you more or less

another thing i notices when people are a certain distance away lets say 300ft away running for some reason a few times they start to run in a juddery slow motion and vanish in and out till they dissapear :/

textures are vile in 85% of the game, all look last gen, character models are shocking of people around the street, aiden does not look all that great specially compared to delsin in infamous

Telling you guys, they CM'd us. Game looks NOTHING like what we were originally shown as the "future" of open world gaming. I would love to know just what the hell happened. There's nothing impossibly amazing looking about that first gameplay demo. It all looked totally doable with the right hardware, which we have. Just like there was something fishy about Colonial Marines, there's something fishy about this game. Something must have gone down behind the scenes to cause such a drastic change in the game.

yep we all know now that the extra 6 months to polish it was a load of bull crap, specially to say the pc version does not look all that good either

lets face it the division will 100% be having a downgrade too

i will say even though we had hints about it not looking so good i am still shocked with the finished game.

nothing in this game looks good or makes you think wow, infamous second son did in parts when i played that.


im never falling for ubisofts crap again, infact im that miffed i think my game actually went missing in the post. i dont have the feeling to even keep playing it lol ive been waiting like all of us years for this game and now its here and crappy i dont even have the will to bother with it like i should do
over 5 years they were making this game...i can not believe it at all, i bet they did not even start building the game at the time the 2012 E3 happened

lol and the hypocrisy continues, thought graphics was a side note against the all important game play, looks like you guys just care about the graphics and nothing else.

For me personally, it's not that I just care about graphics. Although I think that anybody who tries to make the claim the visuals of a VIDEO game are not important is a fool trying to be contrary just for the sake of doing so. There are some people who will always want to go against the flow. But no, my problem has more to do with the deception on Ubi's part. Making everyone believe that this game would look a certain way and then not delivering on it. All the while claiming that the PC version would look like what we initially saw when it clearly does not. They made those claims a mere couple of months ago when they knew damn well what they had. I tried really hard to have faith in them but they did nothing more than lie and make false promises. Had they just come clean and said "Ya know what? We just can't deliver what we originally thought. Sorry guys." All would be OK.

You would have a point if the gameplay was anything special. I was bored after a few hours of hacking civilians for cash or getting chased by retarded ai cops that end pursuits by using the games jokey physics to bounce you through walls and trees or glitch you into a sidewalk full of peds forcing you to take down innocent bystanders which then destroys your rep meter. Next gen gameplay right there.
This game has been compared to a last gen title but i actually think thats an insult to last gen. GTA V pisses all over this from a great height.

Here comes a 'does not look like E3' jerks. Get over it already, i've spent about an hour with PS4 version and loved it. Of course GTA5 is unreachable and nobody but Rockstar can build anything on pair but WD is still a very solid game with a whole different darker tone to it.
