Now that Beyond Good & Evil - 20th Anniversary Edition is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC, we realize it's the third time in twenty-one years we have covered the game's release. Back in 2004, BlimBlim shared his thoughts about it on Xboxyde, then in 2011 I was in charge of the HD remake and today, here I am again with this 20th Anniversary Edition. Despite its age, it's been great playing this updated version, though it still looks very similar to the original. Textures, shadows and lighting effects have been improved, more than twenty achievements/trophies have been added, as well as a gallery of artworks retracing the story of the development of the game and a Speedrun mode. Some will say it's not enough and they'd rather have a full remake, and sure we'd have loved to get one too, but Ubisoft has clearly made a few efforts to please the fans. Now only you can say if it's worth putting your money down again.
