After years of "maybe some day", and then months of on and off work, the new version of Gamersyde is finally up and running! The new look and feel is 100% thanks to Fafat, who one day, after being fed up of not having a mobile version of the site took it upon itself to send us a prototype of what you basically are seeing right now. Needless to say, we can't express how thankful we are to him as otherwise version 3 would probably never have happened. Functionality wise, the site is more or less the same as before (except for video uploads), but it's now more modern and more importantly compatible with with smartphones and tablets. There is even a dark mode! Our forum users will also I'm sure be pleased with some of the more "modern" features added there, thanks to Captaintarass!
This new version has been tested by many people over the past few weeks, but there is without a doubt a few bugs and missing stuff here and there. Please let us know in the bugs forum.

I will only ask for something that's most likely a very little nitpick thing, and that may or may not be easy to do, the new icon of the site looks considerably worse than the old icon. I believe it has to do with the fact that the new icon's sides (the blacks on the side of the orange pyramid) are serrated, as in not having any anti aliasing. If they were smooth, the new icon would look much better.

I use icons in the Firefox's browser bar without the names, so it just shows the icons and it stands out besides other sites' icons. Other than that very little nitpick, I'm loving everything from version 3.

Yeah the bookmark icon looks ugly but besides that the page looks very modern and I like it.

Loving the Dark theme and most of the new design.
I would love it if we could disable that horizontal pane and also I don't like the shrinking animation of the main header when you scroll down, I am more for static stuff :)

Anyways great job !

Honestly, you guys deserve to have a spiffy, slick looking website like this after the years of fantastic stuff you provide us. Thanks Fafat, Thanks BlimBlim and everyone else as Gamersyde.

Looks great, one bug though: dark theme isn't remembered without logging in. That's bad for new visitors. Can be fixed with a cookie.

It's supposed to be remembered even when not logged in. I'll take a look.
