We must confess that we had very low expectations regarding Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission VR, but in spite of all its shortcomings (mainly in terms of content), we can't deny that we had a lot of fun playing it. Sure, six missions is bit stingy, though to be fair that's what the 1987 original featured. It's also a shame that the Survival mode only offers one map, as it would have made it more appealing to be able to play in several areas. That said, shooting baddies and dodging bullets like Neo can be extremely satisfying. That said, 29.99€/$29.99 on PlayStation VR2 (and 24.99€/$24.99 on PC and Meta) seems a bit too expensive for what the game has to offer. The original Operation Wolf is not even included although the old arcade machine is actually visible in the menu. So in the end, it really depends on how you play your games. If you don't mind trying to beat your own scores or if you want to deactivate the reticle to make the game more challenging or try the hard difficulty, it's potentially a game you'll enjoy playing once in a while, just like an old arcade game in fact.
