Our Xbox One X videos

We have been among the lucky ones to receive an Xbox One X beforehand, something like 4 days ago. it didn't leave us much time to download the games and record some gameplay footage, but we did our best as usual. Inside, you'll find a bunch of videos showing titles that have already been updated with their Xbox One X patch. Most of them are Xbox One games obviously, but we also have 3 iconic 360 titles to show you with a massive bump in resolution. Finally, we have tried the first Project CARS to see what forced v-sync and anisotropic filtering can do to a game that hasn't been patched for Xbox One X. If you want to compare, see the last base Xbox One footage we captured back in 2015.
Note: Some games are yet to receive their Xbox One X update, so we'll try to be thorough and propose more videos later.

Project CARS in Scotland

Before we hit the road for the summer vacation, we've decided to take the PC version of Project CARS for a spin on the Scottish track which was added as DLC several months ago. It's nothing special really, but at least you get to see the game running on ultra settings with Nvidia's DSR (1440p).

Project CARS new rain video

It's been a while since the last time we spoke of Project CARS. Ever since it was released, the game has been improved with several updates and the latest one just hit Steam, with better rain effects on the windshield among other things. The two console versions should also get the patch in the following hours. Check out our video inside to see the rain in action.

Project CARS gets patched on XB1

The latest Xbox One patch of Project CARS was finally released in the middle of E3. Here are three analysis videos showing how framerate is affected in the wet and with a certain amount of AI drivers.
Note: Blim's plugin still doesn't handle tearing, so it doesn't show when a frame is not refreshed at 100%.

Two more for Project CARS

When talking about a stress test, one always figures only the system will be concerned. Unfortunately, with Project CARS, the person in charge of capturing the video can also be put under a lot of stress. Take the Azur Circuit with Formula C cars for example, well, we can tell hard it's hard to remain calm even when all you want to do is to capture a clean lap with 18 AI. Details inside.

JonZ gets louder in Project CARS

No need to present the talented JonZ. So when we heard he had released another fantastic trailer for Project CARS, we had no other choice but to ask him to share it with us. Don't wait any longer and check it out.

PCARS gets a new patch

Project CARS received a new update this morning and PS4 and PC players can already download it. The patch is still waiting Microsoft's approval on Xbox One but it shouldn't be too long. The most obvious change when launching the PS4 version is that it's now much easier to steer without the steering assistance, just like it's been on Xbox One since the previous update. Also noticeable is the reduction of the ghosting effect when using default AA. Although we're not quite sure what areas have benefited from the performance boost on PS4, we captured a few videos on 3 tracks (and 30 AI minimum) to analyze them with BlimBlim's plugin. You can see the results inside.
Note: We'll post Xbox One videos as well as soon as the patch hits Xbox Live. Blim's plugin can't handle tearing yet, so it doesn't show when a frame is not refreshed at 100%.

Project CARS Xbox One patch

Project CARS players on Xbox One have had to be patient since the game was released. Indeed, because of the exaggerated sensitivity of the controls with a gamepad, it was sometimes almost impossible to drive properly without either tweaking the controls or resorting to steering assistance. Thankfully, the latest patch which was made available today has finally solved the issue, as proven by our four direct feed videos captured on bumpy tracks in manual gear and real assists - which means sometimes none at all considering our choice of vehicles. The details for the patch are inside but you should also know that another patch is coming next week to bring the Xbox One version on par with the PS4 one from a technical standpoint. Something that should ease the wait before DirectX 12 is made available to make an even bigger difference, Ian Bell - head of SMS - having said that their game would benefit a lot from it on Microsoft's console.

Project CARS multiplayer videos

Let's finish our coverage of Project CARS with a bunch of PS4 videos of the multiplayer mode. To avoid the craziness of some online players, we chose to invite Tkaz/Augur and CaptainTARASS for a few races, adding sometimes a few AI pilots to accompany us in our awkward rides. Some beautiful sights, a good number of laughs when we ended up in pitch black behind the wheel of a kart, and some adrenaline rushes for sure. If you aren't fed up with all our footage yet, enjoy the videos!
